Space is sufficient. One room to another is at good distance. Not noisy. A lot of good food around. Staffs are very nice and willing to lend us a iPhone charger. (rush trip and forgot about it).

We stay one night, didn't try out the breakfast too. But breakfast is provided which is awesome too.

Nice design, interesting chill cafe, and free WiFI.

Love it overall.

Honestly speaking this is a great and affordable little place. If you like local food, it's all over this commercial area and damn good too. If you want to go shopping, take a cab to the mall. Only 1 thing sucks about this hotel, the water pressure from the shower is lousy.

Stayed here for 2 nights for the location at uptown. The good the about this hotel is the chic decor and nice rooms. The best bathrooms which were big and spacious, maybe a wee bit too big,as it ate into the bedding area and made it look small.
The breakfast was a huge letdown and really disappointing. In the hot KL weather, the staff decided to turn down the air con at the lobby , which made it feel like a suana.
Overall still a good stay but with many areas for improvement considering the price which is slightly on the pricy side.

This hotel is located in the heart of PJ Uptown. There are heaps of local restaurants (some open 24 hours) and coffee shops around (even Maccas!).

Public transport may be tricky. Although there are buses to 1Utama and Kelana Jaya, they are infrequent and not reliable. Taxi may not be easy to find. The Hotel does provide limited off-street parking for a fee.

There is a free WiFi throughout the hotel with good speed. Hotel provides ipad at the lobby but no PC and no printer. No Laundry room but hotel have laundry service.

Breakfast is complimentary but limited choice - Tea/Coffee, Toast, biscuits, eggs and sometimes seasonal fruits and that's it.

Rooms are generally clean with complimentary bottle water daily, tooth brush and towels. Bathroom shower gel is provided in the in-room dispenser. Aircon is great and TV is ok but limited channels. Room could be a bit dark (lack of reading lights) so pick a room with windows if you are those that may stay in the room other than sleeping.

There is no lift so be prepared to walk the stairs (well 1-3 stories anyway)

There is a safe (but not working). No wardrobe. some clothes hangers are provided.

Telephone is for internal use only.

Hotel requires RM50 cash for deposit regardless of where you book the hotel and whether it is pre-pay or on account.

Rooms facing the street could be noisy due to traffic.

Room Tip: If you hate stairs - ask for a room at low level. If you hate noise - ask for a room not facing the...

Been here twice. Rooms ok though most don't have windows. First time I stayed here, breakfast was pretty good with the restaurant next door catering the food. A few months after, the breakfast has reduced to just coffee, tea and toast.

WiFi is ok though some rooms are out of range.

Good for few days in town.

Price is pretty reasonable for a queen size bed with cable tv (only few channels thou), location is at uptown damansara. So it is pretty easy to grab something to eat around the area. Even beside the hotel it has a cafe (Kaffa) where you can grab a nice coffee and in case you are hungry, it has a selection of food for you to grab.

Ryokan Chic is a great place to stay for a few nights if you do not want to pay too much (we booked in advance and thus got an early bird price), yet would like a room with adequate facility, and clean, modern look/vibe. Room is not big (as expected) but can comfortably fit two of us without trouble. Hotel is located at a fairly central location, Short walk (10 mins) to Tropicana shopping centre and short drive to One U shopping centre. However as it is a small and relatively new hotel (therefore not known by many taxi drivers), noting down the hotel address is a must if you do travel by taxis back to the hotel. Breakfast was included which was great. Choices of breakfast were not as varied as major hotels, but this is only a B&B - and I certainly did not even expect to be provided with breakfast, let alone a few breakfast choices (tuna sandwiches, cereal, biscuits, etc.). Also from my memory, you can eat as much as you want. The main downside is that sleeping was a little difficult (esp. late at night), as several people would stomp on the floor while walking up/down the staircase, instead of walking quietly knowing that it was already 12am. We did however suggest the hotel manager to prevent that from happening again by putting up signs at lobby, or perhaps carpet the floor.

Overall I believe Ryokan Chic is a budget accommodation of a great value. We will go back again :)

Room Tip: We stayed in The Duke & Duchess. Request queit room if you want good sleep (who doesn't?). B...
