Overall, this hotel represents AWFUL value for money. After paying $70 per night for a 5 star hotel in KL, this hotel at $63 per night represents the worst value for money I've ever experienced in South East Asia. This hotel is worth between $30 - $40 per night maximum when compared to other hotels in KL. It is cashing on travellers who need a bed and don't want to travel far from the airport. There are sleeping capsule style hotels advertised in the airport for 90RM ($30) which may offer better value (we've not seen them or inside them).

The positives of Tune KLIA2:
1. Right next to KLIA2 and therefore is very convenient if flying out early in the morning.
2. New clean, rooms.
3. Nice staff that try to assist where they can. The manager's English is impeccable.
4. Free internet
5. Some TV channels in English
6. International power plugs provided in rooms (so there is no need to purchase a travel adapter for 1 night stays) although there is no power point in the bathroom, which makes hair straightening impossible!
7. The community sitting area on the ground floor (in the centre) is classy, comfortable, and well designed.

The Negatives:
Added later at 2:33am. HOUSE CLEANING STARTED SLAMMING DOORS AND CLEANING ROOMS AT 1:30am. IT WAS VERY LOUD. I ASKED HIM TO BE QUIETER AND HE APOLOGISED. IT IS NOT HIS FAULT THAT HE IS ASKED TO CLEAN AT SUCH A RIDICULOUS HOUR. I approached reception at 1:45am who said that they were a 24 hour service and house cleaning is 24 hours. Management need to recognise how ridiculous it is that they wake their paying customers up so they can have rooms cleaned. I do not want the cleaner to lose his job over something that clearly is a systemic management issue.
1. VERY small rooms.
2. No fridge or extra facilities such as a kettle or microwave. This would not be such an issue if there were restaurants nearby but the Tune Hotel restaurant is currently closed for 2 weeks.
3. You need to cross the road into the airport to purchase overpriced food and beverages.
4. This hotel DOES NOT provide any consumable water which means you have to enter the airport and buy water just to hydrate. Surely at $64 (188RM) per night this hotel could offer 2 free bottles of water per night or at least offer some for sale. Not providing drinking water gives the impression that Air Asia and Tune hotel do not genuinely care about the health and well-being of guests as many Western travellers would drink the tap water presuming it is free of toxins, which we all know ends in several days of discomfort. You really do need to provide drinking water as the bottles cost less than 1RM for you to buy!
5. Only provide 1 small shampoo and 1 soap in toiletries.

stayed here for one night. Late check in staff was accomodating.
Positive point :clean room, friendly staff, location easy to find.
Negative point:request for iron was not supplied at all when staff already promise to send/cafe not open yet maybe management can consider to install hot & cold water dispenser its a hassle for tired customer to walk all the way to KLIA 2 just for a drink.

May consider to come back just because room are clean..

We stayed here for one night between our flights from Hong Kong to our next flight to Singapore.

On arrival at KLIA2 (the superb new, still unfinished terminal) we must have walked around for 20 minutes trying to find signs for the hotel, as we could see it but not how to get there. Possibly the signage in the airport is also yet to be finished.

The hotel is a short walk from the terminal via a covered walkway.

Check in at the large and airy lobby was quick and easy once I got the attention of a member of staff and the room was big enough.

But for a newly built, possibly rushed for completion hotel, it was good enough.

Brand new Tune Hotel at KLIA2 - very conveniently situated next to KLIA2, just 10 minutes of undercover walking to the KLIA2 Departure Hall. Clean, simple and refreshing and very reasonably priced. I will definitely choose to stay here if I need to depart from KLIA2 again.

Room Tip: If you need a reasonably priced, conveniently located, clean and comfortable room to stay overnight, then the new Tune Hotel KLIA2 is your answer.

My trip from Cebu to Kuala Lumpur via Manila last May 29, 2014 was so stressing that seeing a bed at the Tune Hotel was heaven. I slept for five hours undisturbed fresh and ready for the next flight to the Gold Coast. One can get a 3-hour room usage for 80MYR with AC, TV, WiFi, towels & toiletries. In my case, I paid 2x3 hours for 160MYR because I had a longer wait.
Yes, for travellers with long stopover at KLIA2 in Kuala Lumpur, Tune Hotel is ideal because it is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway, just 10 minutes walk- no need for a taxi. The good thing is, you can use an airport trolley to transport your luggage to the hotel and back.
