Superb property with excellent facilities. We stayed at both the beach villa and over water villa. We fell in love with the over water villa which allowed us direct access to shallow waters perfect for snorkeling. F&B was tip top and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals at mandhoo restaurant, villu restaurant as well as sunset grill.

We were blown away by the magnificent scenery which surrounded us everywhere. Especially at the quiet zone and villu. What really impressed us was the attentiveness of the staff and their professionalism. Special mention to our island host, Naoko, the wait staff Rafeaa (villu) and Nawaz (Mandhoo).

We did a snorkeling excursion where we were brought to an island and saw many new variety of fishes. We also did yoga and the instructor was very professional.

Overall a very relaxing and most awesome vacation! Thank you Conrad Maldives!

This was our first family trip to the Maldives and honestly was a bit concerned that our three web connected urban teenage daughters would not get the Maldives and love the islands as my wife and I do.The Conrad was the perfect place to have them use their smart phones for mostly photos and re-connect with real experiences.

Between exploring the two islands; going on the luxury dolphin excursion (absolute must), watching the mantas play at he bridge lights; snorkeling the house reef in the shallow, clear and calm waters; simply chilling out at the beach villa pool, spacious rooms or at the F&B facilities; they quickly became Maldives addicts.

The deluxe beach villas were excellent (better than the overwater for family) a perfect size and private although a bit quirky in their flow and having only outdoor bath at the entrance ( not for the shy).Overall staff and service was excellent and super friendly.

Only exceptions and negatives were at the restaurants where food was only average, significantly over priced and service was often slow and forgetful..This keeps me from giving 5 stars

Overall Excellent except my daughters are now bugging me when we are going back

Room Tip: Pick the Deluxe Beach Villas facing the house reef near the Spa

The Maldivian staff's are very professional and kind but there is a different when foreign staff treat us. Rooms are super clean, beaches are nice and very quite. The food is super and no plastics on the sea.

I think the library should have more books of different kinds and should utilized the space. Also when i went to the boutique i could not find any Authentic Maldivian Art and Craft other then the set of Maldivian coin's.

Also an exhibition gallery might be a good place in Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.

If there is heaven on earth.. it is Conrad Maldives Rangali Island!!!
We were 2 couples on a 3 night break from family/kids..
we spent 2 nights at the Retreat water villa ... and 1 night at the standard water villa... both the villas were great... and we were very comfortable..
however, the standard water villa, did not have the shower that's usually next to the WC.. i dont know if that was deliberate or just missed, as my friends in the next villa had that shower..
we used the over water spa .. the treatments were average and i think the whole over water concept was over rated..
we also did the photo shoot.. but found it very very hurried .. the photographer was not professional .. she was actually a diving instructor... since the photo shoot was for 1 hour.. ideally we should have had the buggy to take us around and save time ..however, we had to walk all over the island... that wasted a lot of time and we were not satisfied with the photos and the time!!
overall the trip was excellent and we had a great time.
special thanks to zubba for our snorkeling experience, and the chef at the wine cellar...(forgot his name)

From our arrival at the airport, the comfort of the private lounge whilst awaiting our seaplane, and you could tell this would be a good experience! We were not disappointed. Our room on Rangali Island (water villas only)was beautiful and worth upgrading to.It was so peaceful and so clean you could eat off the floor. The staff who looked after us and our room are well trained and genuine in their approach. We wanted for nothing. The other island housed the land villas and was a lot busier but it made a nice change to wander over the footbridge for dinner or to visit the shops. However given the choice we did not leave our island often. The breakfasts were plentiful with a glass of champagne if you chose to indulge and the choices for lunch and dinner meant you never ate the same thing twice unless you wanted to.This was also one of the nicest bars we have had the pleasure of using, it was so relaxing laying on a sofa watching the ocean by candlelight with yet another glass of champagne and nibbles before dinner.Swimming in the ocean was also a delight as by the time you got back to your very private sunbeds, as if by magic water, fruit and cool towels had appeared. A lovely experience overall.

Room Tip: Water villas are on a quieter island.

May is the rainy season in Maldives, however, it only rained twice while we were here for 6 days. Both times was early morning. The Conrad Resort was amazing!!!! I would recommend bringing some food in your bags due to the prices on the island. Average cost for two people will run you around 75 U.S. dollars and up so bring a hot plate to heat your meals.

The resort offers all none motorized water equipment to the guest free of charge. If you know how to sail, they have sailboats as well or you can take lessons to learn. After that, the sailboat is free to take out. If you know how to sail, they will take you out for a trial run to make sure you know what you are doing and them it is all yours.

I did a lot of walking around on the island and everything is within a 15 minute walk or you can call to be picked up on a golf cart. Call ahead, wait time is between 10 to 25 minutes for pick up.

Snorkeling was awesome!!! Request room numbers around 215 if you have small kids. The water is about 3 to 4 feet deep and you can walk out for a long time before it gets deep. If you want deeper water in your backyard, ask the hotel staff when you check in. I think those are the 100 rooms but not sure. Sharks come and go there. The hotel staff says no one has ever been attacked. I saw 3 sharks in the 6 days and they just swim by you and keep going. It's pretty cool and they are not big!!! The biggest one I saw was about 3 and half feet long. The resort also has 3 small sharks by the boat dock. As you get off the plane and walk towards the check in desk, look to your left by the shore line and you will see them swimming there.

I went fishing while I was there. Very interesting the way you fish. They only give you a fishing line with a hook. The boat only caught 7 fish that night and the crew said it wasn't a good night but I still had fun. Cost was just under 100 dollars for the sunset and night fishing. You can also rent the boat for 1,100 dollars for the day. They people that did this came back with some really big fish. Also, what you catch is what you can eat. The hotel will charge you to prepare your fish. Cost is between 10 to 30 dollars depending on they way you want it prepared. I did the grilled and it was 20 dollars per person. They can also prepare your fish for multiple days if you catch a lot.

The other things I did not do were jet skiing, diving and snorkeling with those motor packs. All looks fun but the price was to high. Jet skies were 250 dollars per hour. I like spending money but not throwing it away. There was enough stuff to do on the island for free and I can't wait to visit again in a few years.

Thank you to the Conrad Staff and to my new friend Mohamed Afeef. He is the Lounge Manager. You will meet him at the lounge by the seaport prior to your departure to the island. He is great and very friendly. He can help you with anything and answer all your questions. Great person with an can do attitude.

Room Tip: All the rooms were great we stayed in. Ants are bad so clean up after yourself. If you can get a w...

Put together a nature paradise with a prestigious and luxury man-made resort: you get Conrad Rangali Maldives! Staff is well trained, friendly, and knowledgeable. With 300 rooms, Conrad has more than 570 staff to keep the place (and people) happy 24/7. The water bungalow was just unbelievable well decorated and maintained, with a gorgeous view and private infinite pool. Buggies drive you around the entire resort if you don’t feel like walking. Do not miss the manta rays who come to feed on plankton under the bridge that connects the two islands of the Conrad. Another not-to-be-missed place is the house coral reef for a snorkeling in the shallow water. The dive center is superb with new equipment and great boats and staff. Sunset is beautiful at the remote and always desert beach close to the Sunset Water Bungalows. George is the local Grey Heron who lives in the island with other herons and birds. Wildlife in the island is stunning with birds, sharks, turtles, rays, crabs, hermit crabs… Do I need to mention about the abundant marine life? If you are a scuba diver or a snorkeling enthusiast, you won’t regret paying any cent of this trip! Well, actually, even if you are not a scuba diver I don’t believe you would regret going to Conrad Rangali Maldives! Highly recommended it!
