We have just returned from a two week holiday and have almost nothing but praise for this hotel.
We travelled with our three and half year old daughter, and the staff could not do enough to assist us in making sure that she was well fed and happy. They were always friendly, and never too busy to make a fuss of her and make sure that all our needs were catered for. All the staff seemed to know her name!! She had a special meal prepared for her every night, since she is very fussy and would not eat the food that was on offer. A member of staff would discuss it each morning to ensure that she had something that she would eat each night.
Food served was excellent, in particular when the holel was not filled to capacity, and the evening meal was a la carte. Buffet meals afforded a good selection, but were not quite as good as the a la carte. The lunchtime menu, had a daily special, along with what was offered each day and this was for the most part of high quality (bar the calamari).
The activities on offer, were expensive for they what were, however this reflects the general high price of everything in Mauritius.
In all a lovely, relaxing holiday, which is excellent for families and couples.
We went all inclusive, and for us this was great as we wanted nothing more than to eat good food and have an unlimited supply of drinks. We were not bothered by being restricted to local brands only, although this may be a problem for others.
The buildjng beautifully complements the setting, with the beach bar in the middle of the swimming pool. The beach, although rocky, afforded lots of exciting rock pools for our daughter to explore and collect shells and so on. Additionally walk a little down from the hotel and you are able to swim from the beach away from the rocks.
The entertainment in the evening, was a little limited with set background music which was not easily changed, although staff did try to help with this aspect too. There is a music duo that appears most nights, and although they play with enthusiasm and our daughter loved them, the same double act could become wearing night after night.
