On my first visit to Mauritius I stayed in Sea Villa at Flic En Flac and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The resort is located just across the beach and the view from the room in the morning was stunning. The resort is spic'n'span and the staff is friendly and hospitable. I booked a suite for myself and the rooms, bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with gas burners, microwave, refrigerators and all the other essentials. If you want to cook on your own then supermarket is quite close. The breakfast laid every morning was quite nice. Even if you want to eat out then the restaurants and eating joints are just right next to the villa. Commuting is not a problem as the bus stop is right opposite the hotel and the buses are safe and clean to travel. Even coming back late night to the hotel is quite safe and the hotel is well guarded 24*7.
Overall a very pleasant and content stay and every penny was worth spending on this hotel. Am sure if I visit again will definitely book myself at Sea Villa.

Sea Villa Resort & Spa is a small hotel in Flic En Flac. The beach is just across the road and SPAR supermarket is less than 10 mins. leisurely walk away. The bus stop ( to Cascavelle Shopping Mall and Port Louis ) is just beside the hotel. Pubs, restaurants and Jeanno Burgers are a stone-throw away.
We booked a room, triple sharing through Booking.com at 111 euro per night and was given the Royal Suite which could accommodate 4 adults. It was a self-catering apartment unit with 2 large bedrooms, a spacious living area, a large dining table and a kitchenette with a fridge. Shower pressure was good and the individual aircon units were in good working condition. Some may find the mattress a bit hard but it was ok for us. Our room at the back of the hotel is away from the main road and was quiet and we slept right through the night. We did not use the hotel facilities because we were out the whole day. Breakfast served from 8 a.m. onward was basic but adequate for us. On our last day,we wanted to check-out early, leave our luggage with the reception before going to Port Louis because we would be back only at about 3 p.m.. The guy at the reception told us we could leave our luggage in our rooms, come back and take our shower before checking-out. That was very kind of him. Thank you so much sir.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back quiet

Resort very pretty and seafront but other than that...no maintenanceat all..... and poor and low breakfast quality. Swimming pool dirty.
Regarding safety....under our terrace there were gas cylinders without any protection ..... very dangerous.
The staff is friendly but not very reliable and the management unprofessional. I would say for what we paid..... unfairly high prices.

If you're on a budget this place isnt bad. Its geared for self catoring. has stove, fridge, microwave oven kettle etc. We found the barthoom/shower a bit dirty. The bed was extremely hard, but the staff managed to find an extra matress layer to put on top to accomodate. The water is heated by solar so if you have had a day of little sun you better have a shower early before the water is used up by other guests. Breakfast is great (when you figure out you need to order what you want at the bar) Not you typical buffet type of breakfast. You can take the breakfast up to the room and have it there if you please. Located on the main road a few 100m down from the main beach makes it a good location.

Its a value for Money hotel. Rooms are spacious, tastfully furnished, clean and tidy. The hotel is located opposite the beach. Restaurants (Chinese, Italian, Indian etc) are within walking distance.
Staff at Sea Villa are very friendly.

Its ideal for family and it is highly recomended.

we had a very pleasent stay for 3 days at the sea villa. for only 2000mur or about 55 euros we had a very nice, clean, spacious suite, with cooking facilities including breakfast for 2. the staff is very friendly and helpful. there is a guard around the clock at the entrance of the hotel so we felt pretty safe in the facilities. the beach is directly at the hotel over the street and close to restaurants and small groceries, for us a really good location at flic en flac.

the room was very clean, a big comfortable double bed, wifi in the room available, sometimes better sometimes slow or hard to find. with balcony, fridge and cooking facilities. only small drawback was in the shower, where a half of the door was missing, but not disturbing any further. we were really happy to have found this hotel, and not having stayed in a huge expensive holiday resort. we dont think you can get any better than this price for 2 people.
