We were at Maradiva resorrt on our Honeymoon in July, it-s a paradise on earth. Tranquil surroundings, beautiful set up villas , nice beach, in few words . . . there is nothing you can complain about. The staff are so helpful, they constantly take care of you and treat you like royalty. They always greet you with a smile and offer high grade service. Big thanks to Ganesh, Babita ,Pamela , the manager and chefs, for this wonderful experience. Food and hygiene was excellent . At the beach one will find free of charge activities like snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, paddle boats etc. At the fitness centre one may find table tennis, tennis court, nice equipped gymnasium and bicycle rental. Free of charge if used at the resort. The spa offers such good services, have never experienced such tranquillity in my life. Staff there are amazing. At the villa we were offered fresh water, milk and small cakes everyday. In the morning all you can hear is the sound of the ocean and the birds chirping. Oh I wish I am still there. It was such a fantastic holiday, and I would suggest this resort to all the people who would like a tranquil holiday, with the best service on the island. Well done to all involved, in making our honeymoon so memorable. Hope we would be able to visit this paradise again. xxxxxxx

Room Tip: We had a luxury villa , enough for two persons very nice and spacious.

We went for our honeymoon a week ago. Perfect place to relax. Perfect service and food. It could have been a 5 on 5 only if our private pool was heated like the main one and a bit of animation.

Staffs very helpful. Do try the diner on the beach.

We have just spent 8 nights at the Maradiva Resort as part of our honeymoon. All in all the experience was excellent. The service was outstanding, the staff really took their time to get to know us and understand our requirements. Being vegetarian the restaurant staff went out of their way to ensure that our dietary requirements were met and fulfilled.

At this point I would like to mention Vikash, whose service in the coast2coast restaurant and during breakfast was excellent. Also the chef Biswas, who came out to speak with us before our meals were prepared, to ensure the ingredients were all ok for us.

Our personal butlers Pamela and Akeel (who is getting married soon, congratulations!) they were both very attentive, polite and generally great butlers. Pamela was charming!

The spa was sublime, I was so relaxed during the treatment that I fell asleep and started to snore! My partner was not so impressed with me! The service was very professional and an enjoyable experience. A special mention to Heidi, Mary Jane, and Razia.

We did however experience a few problems with our villa. Once we reported these issues, the manager (Kamal Nundloll) was very helpful and immediately worked on rectifying these issues.

The room keeping staff were delightful, a special mention to Babita who always greeted us with a huge smile and cheery voice, and always asked if we needed anything else. The room was cleaned and toiletries replenished daily.

The beach was fantastic, (slightly rocky) there were plenty of sun beds. All with towels. The waiter staff would bring out complimentary cold water and cold fruit, which we found very considerate.

Overall we would very highly recommend this resort for a relaxing stay, especially for couples. Not really the kind of resort for children. We have had an amazing experience and would come back.

Just got back from 12 nights stay to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary - Paradise from the moment we arrived everywhere you looked was a picture - Staff were amazing and just couldn’t do enough for you always smiling
Food was excellent in all restaurants couldn’t fault it - in fact too much we kept leaving some on the plate! Sorry – try the Japanese Teppanyaki grill as well we did twice !
Located along the beach in total seclusion and in privacy we hardly saw a soul – Villa had a Private pool with Sun bed area & an outside living room
Sitting here having an afternoon coffee with little cakes at delivered at 4pm each day and birds flying around was a magical part of the day for us
Even in June the Sun was hot enough to sunbathe with no scramble for the Sun beads located on a White coral sandy beach and also around an large infinity pool
We had our Anniversary meal under a canvas tent at night on the beach which was an absolutely perfect experience again Heaven made special by all the staff at Maradiva – they even laid on a cake for us !
Thanks to the Managers & Babbita ,Koonai ,Aidan ,Fawaaz ,Nirvana ( sorry can’t remember all your names but you all make it very special place )

Room Tip: All Villas had privacy dont think you could find a bad one

Where do I start...... from the moment we arrived we were welcomed by genuine friendly happy staff. My 10 days just got better and better. The facilities were amazing, spa, villas, restaurants, gym no complaints at all.
All members of staff couldn't do enough for you - nothing was too much trouble - you were always greeted with hello and a smile.
The golden sandy beach and communal pool was always clean with hotel towels waiting for you to use.
I was there for my friends wedding and the events and spa teams were brilliant - the attention to detail was more than we could have asked for.
I'd highly recommend the Maradiva and hopefully plan another visit soon.

Room Tip: I can only comment on the Villas - well worth it - own private pool and chill out area

My wife and I only spebt four days and three nights but had a wonderful time. It was the last week of May and the westher was perfect, warm but not hot; the water was great and there was always a nice breeze.

We arrived on the 6am flight from Paris and took the scenic route along the coast, arriving at the hotel at 10am. I expected to sit poolside with my luggage until the proper check in, but staff quickly took my room and reminded the complimentary breakfast was still going.

Breakfast was a true highlight. Set off the beach slightly the options were incredible. Fresh fruit, drinks, omelet bar, waffles, salad, smoked fish, potatoes, fried rice, cereal, and fresh breads. It was all awesome. We particularly loved the fresh jams. The banana marmalade is like liquid banana bread...I may go back just for that.

We were in suite 102. Not quite the ocean front I was expecting but still a great room. The villa was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC worked great, the choice of indoor or outdoor shower was nice ( I always did the outdoor shower). For those of you staying for a long time or with kids, the closet space is huge. Not to mention the plunge pool. Our room was close to the pool and restaurant and never heard a thing at night.

The pool and beach were paradise. It was so quiet and tranquil. THe first few hours we heard or saw nobody and the hotel was at 70% occupancy. Plenty of chairs all week long and the beach front chairs were spread out underneath a host of trees providing ocean breezes and protection from the sun. The waves were small and the beach sand was a little rough, but the views were beautiful.

My wife belongs to spa at home and said she had the best massage ever here. She did the 2 hours hot stone massage and got the full 2 hours, not 1 hr and 45 minutes. It was o great she booked another one the day we left with the same guy. Same result.

Food in the restaurants was fair at best and very overpriced for the quality and quantity you get. we ate once at each place and then went out the rest of the week. The Japanese Teppanyaki was average but the service was great. Guess we are spoiled by Benihana at home. We ordered ala'carte, but most people seemed to get the $100 five course meal. So not worth it. If they would focus on the quality of the restaurants they would be perfect.

Its expensive but most island resorts are. Overall the service was great, the property is well maintained, and rooms were awesome. They provide complimentary bottled water everywhere, we couldn't drink it fast enough. Every time you sit down they bring some and ask if you need anything else.

My only other critique is the staff was constantly asking if everything was OK. It was just a little too aggressive, but better than the alternative. I met the GM at the staff mixer, he is from a five star in the Maldives and I am sure the little things will get better and consistency will improve.

We rented a car and glad we did. Much cheaper than the hotel transportation and the opportunity to explore or at least try other restaurants. I am a diver and wast thrilled with the diving on the island, but its always good to be in the water.

I highky recoccomend and would love to stay there again.

Room Tip: the best rooms, closest to the beach are 101, 115, 201, 316, 401, 417, 501, and 517. 517 is by itsel...

Dear RCaldin,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review of your experience at Maradiva for the benefit of Trip Advisor readers.
I am delighted that our team of Hosts succeed in creating a genuine service experience specially the Spa team.
We are so pleased to hear that you embraced so many of experiences that our resort has to offer.
However, it appears your overall stay was pleasant but the costs and charging was the major surprise. As you already mentioned, all the resorts face the same challenge and our pricing is competitive in the market place. We have also taken on board your comments with regards to our food offer and it will be shared with our Executive Chef for consideration.
From all the Hosts at Maradiva we look forward to welcoming you back again to our little piece of paradise soon.

Pure Nirvana.
After we entered the gated property we were asked to be seated while the three greeters arranged our check in.
We were then asked to take an electric cart to our villa. The driver drove us by the restaurante and spa and then to our villa where he explained all the details.
The villa was incredible. When you enter you are immediately swept into a welcoming outside seating area with couch, chaise lounge whirling ceiling fan, radio, coffe/tea area/minibar next to the azur/slate private pool.
Step up into the enclosed bedroom with flat screen swan towels sprinkled with rose pedals. A walkin closet with safe. Beautifully decorated bathroom with huge tub and seperate shower both with floor to ceiling glass with views of the outside shower area
Our villa was a short walk to the infinity pool where we spent the day after a walk down the beach.
After our day at the pool we discovered the sanctuary of the spa. A hidden gem at the resort. Peaceful, relaxing exlusive. Complimentary use of the jacuzzi, steam and sauna. % discount for guests for masaage sessions.
Nirvana at the front desk was super sweet and helped us arrange anything we needed including our day tour. If only there was a Nirvana at every hotel reception desk.
We have never felt so pampered and lost in luxury and serenity than our experience at the Maradiva. 10++ was our stay
