“Atlas Essaouira Hotel”

The Tildi in Agadir was the first hotel I stayed in after arriving in Morocco. I immediately had a favorable impression. The hotel was clean and stylish. The check in was quick and the staff were efficient and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. The swimming pool area was particularly luxurious. Breakfast was lovely and luxurious but dinner wasn't great at all. It was a bit hot and stuffy in the rooms at night & it was a bit noisy at night time late. Staff looked after us very well.

Its what we expected. A Westernised hotel by the beach with a great (but cold) pool. Having spent three days on a trip to the sahara we wanted some where to slob and this met the bill. Just finished watching the England rugby match in the bar whilst wife hs a massage. Wifi everywhere and nice beer.

This was the best hotel on my Gate 1 tour of Morocco. No question about it.

The only problems I had were that they didn't have rooms ready for an after 2 p.m. check-in (as required by the hotel) and having to wait until well after three for a room with only a glass of Morocan Whiskey (mint tea) as an apology; and that the walk to the Medina is kind of a rough way to go as the promenade is stil being built and the hotel is a bit of a walk from the Lion's Gate (but those aren't the hotel's fault). Not much of inteest to do in between the hotel and the town.

But the room was great. Nice and clean, quiet and comfortable. The patio on my first floor roo (only this floor had patios) was great as it opened up onto a really nice garden. The lobby was fantastic, the restaurants great (both the large and the intimate places), the bar magic with beautiful live music at night.

This was not "Morocco" necessarily, more European business hotel - but I loved my stay here, and when you add in wandering the Medina and shouf-ing at a sidewalk cafe - it couldn't get any better. This was by far, the best stop of the Gate 1 tour (with Erfoud as a close second).

Made me sorry to be leaving Morocco soon. As I have so many places to go I know I'll never be back - but we'll always have the Hotel Atlas in Morocco - to turn a phrase. I'd stay here a week if I were you.

Like the other hotels in Morocco we stayed at, the concierge, bar and restaurant staff are excellent, but the reception may as well not be there. If you have any sort of issue with the room or with your stay, you may as well ask the cats that wonder around in the hotel grounds, the reception staff couldn't give a toss. This hotel advertises as having air con (which is required on the West Moroccan coast), so when it only put out hot air, we inquired about it twice, and was assured by staff it was going to be fixed, twice. We couldn't keep the window open during the night because of the mosquitoes in the room. On the third time, we were told by the same reception staff that none of the rooms have aircon, only heating units ... in Morocco !! I'd ask the owners who exactly needs heating on the West African coast ?!? Bizarre ! The room was about what I'd expect to find in a Premier Inn, so not a 5* establishment. If we needed to spend any sort of time in this hotel we would have been properly upset with the value. As it turned out, we spent most of our time in the Medina, which was cool.

I would not recommend this hotel only because they're likely to be better ones in this up and coming region.

Room Tip: Check the room specs with the reception staff and get one of them to sign and date it. Perhaps if yo...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights.

Check in was seamless - staff pleasant and made us feel welcome. We were also served a complimentary Moroccan tea. The reception area was opulent and the communal areas were well kept.

Our room was everything we could ask for - modern, spacious, clean and plenty of natural light. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. There was also open wifi throughout the hotel, not the fastest but sufficient for browsing and checking email.

Breakfast was excellent on the first morning - good quality food and attentive staff, however on the second morning they had ran out of many hot food items and they didn't replenish them. We also ate one night at the Moroccan restaurant, which didn't disappoint.

Overall, an excellent hotel, but the breakfast issue did let it down slightly. We'd definitely stay again though and recommend to others.

International style hotel so a bit clinical but comfortable and clean on the beach. We had good evening meals in The Seven and Safron. Attentive service. Breakfast buffet style. Long walk to the Medina area and the harbour but short taxi ride back for 10 dirhams. We loved the old town - good shopping and fairly hassle free.

Spent 5 nights recently at this hotel. Very friendly staff, efficient service, clean and tranquil place. The deluxe seafront location room was lovely and spacious. The only down side was the lack of coffee making facilities, so we had to order room service each morning which was costly.
The spa was lovely. I had a full body massage one day which was a delight!
The hotel went to a lot of trouble to put on a fab new year's eve party with a live band and dinner.
The restaurant on the beach, called "Seven" was our favourite eating place. Great service and menu options. Best red wine was El Mogador !

Room Tip: Deluxe sea front room was lovely and spacious. 122 was the number. It was light as it had triple asp...
