We saw this restaurant when walking round the medina. It's very small and has nice atmosphere. We had the soup followed by tagine with some cous cous. Desert was oranges with cinnamon. Fixed price menu was mads 120. Super meal, nice experience. Try it

The first courses were standard such as Moroccan salad etc. Good enough but hardly exciting. The tajine was very tasty and the couscous, though better than others tasted in Essaouira, was a little dry. The cinnamon orange dessert was exceptional. Service was very friendly but once you reciprocated the friendlinessdliness it became offhand. Though (or perhaps because!) the restautant was empty, the waiter would disappear for long intervals leaving us staring at our empty plates, which on a cold January evening is not ideal!

You need to book here as it's tiny and very popular. We loved it. Set menu with enough choice, happy staff, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful building with eclectic decor!
We ate soup, goat tagine, meat tagine, flan and vin rouge. All delicious.

Don't let the entrance and old sign outside fool you. The decor, candlelit ambience and impeccable service were a match with the outstanding food in one of the veteran restaurants of this town. We had the Moroccan salad and the house salad which were fresh, flavorful and perfectly balanced. For entrees, the saffre with chicken, cinnamon and almonds was simply one of the best chicken dishes we've ever tasted. The couscous with beef was a huge and delicious serving. Light flan finished off the meal and their house red was very good and very reasonably priced. We'd go back here again!

I am 12 years old with a brother and sister. My parents took us here for a Moroccan experience. I loved everything about it. The harira soup was amazing and so was the Salad Moroccan. For mains I had a kafta with an egg (YUM)!!! No one disliked anything about it and this has been my best experience of Moroccan food. I highly recommend this and I hope to come back soon.
