Although we knew we were supposed to dine al fresco by the docks, choosing our just caught seafood for immediate grilling, we were so mentally exhausted by our previous day in Marrakech that we just wanted to eat our lunch in peace, preferably with a bottle of wine. We found Dar Loubane (after reading a review in our Fodor's) and knew we had picked the right spot. Dining in the quiet sunlit courtyard, with strains of jazz in the background (not loud enough to drown out the babbling of the fountain), sipping a glass of wine, we were finally able to relax. And the food was the best we had during our entire trip. Don't miss the eggplant in argan oil salad or the briouates! Our hosts were gracious and lovely. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!
