Room is really dark. No furniture to put your clothes or luggage, the bed was confy though.
The Bathroom was a bit cold for showers.
I's a beautiful building asking for some painting and maintenance. The terrace has a huge potential, deserves some furniture up there!
One BIG complain, you should not allow people smoke inside the place! This is a huge disrespect to non smokers!

Really cheap place but not if you're not used to 'backpacker's places'. A bit dark and stuffy.
Not very clean. The rooms are always open and they smoke inside.

Shared bathrooms with hot water (+).

Very good location, although the entering into the hostel could be quite strange and seems t be dangerous.

Nice staff and a really nice view from the roof.

Very unclean and overflooded with water when it rains. Manager is weird and creepy. He was confusing and made us feel very uncomfortable. Nice personnel couldnt unleash their friendliness because they were suppressed by the manager. Bathrooms are not nice and there is no hot water.

Very central hostel, nice place, but was not very cleaned. The position and the personals are friendly. In some rooms aint power connection (there are, but are broken). Generally, at that price (6€ x day) thats good

Do not stay at this hotel/hostel!!! It is so dark and dingey, it was like they never clean there. Everywhere was dirty. The bed sheets were dusty and the bathroom on the 2nd floor smelt so bad you couldn't shower in there, also the showers had no heads on them so they were basically just hoses. The worst part is that this hostel has bed bugs. I woke up with a crawling sensation on my arm and grabbed it, when I took it out of the room into the light I saw it had just eaten because it's body was red full of blood. During the day the hotel lady is nice but in the evening the man looking after the hotel must have been on drugs because he couldn't hold a conversation and his head was shaking badly, he was offensive towards us and other females. Just disgusting.

we spent 2 nights in this hostel and took a double room without shared toilet and shower. The rooms and bathroom are quite clean for Marocco standards and alllways have soap and toilet paper (quite difficult to find in Marocco toilets) but could be better. Rooms have no windows on the street, just on the internal patio, which gives some problems for pricacy, ventilation and silence. But it's an hostel, not an hotel. and we expected that. You can use the kitchen and there is wifi free. Prices are quite good (180 dh for a double room) and it was allways full. I mostly appreciated the nice ambiance, like a community house.

Room Tip: Probably they have a room in the terrace, if possible ask for that. if not, ask to see the room firs...

I stayed here for 4 nights after being in Morocco for two weeks. The main redeeming feature about the hostel is the staff who are polite and friendly. Otherwise the hostel is a dump. My room had beds squashed together so they were touching, I had to climb over 3 beds to get to my bunk. The showers on the top floor stank of sewage and fish, there were no shower heads, never any toilet roll on the top floor and no hand soap in the toilets. Breakfast was bread and lots of it, maybe a crepe and some questionable coffee. There is no doubt that the staff work hard here but I didn't see any evidence of cleaning the whole 4 days I was there. Honestly the place needs a lot of bleach and scrubbing! As it was summer ans really busy somw nights there were up to 7 people sleeping in the courtyard meaning at you shared breakfast with a range of snoring and smelly bodies, like being in a doss house!! The hostel itself is down a very narrow dark and extremely smelly street. Between about 6-8 when the sun goes down there is no light in the street and it just doesn't feel safe. I travelled on my own and met some great people at the hostel but wouldn't go back. If you're a single female traveller be careful
In Essaouira, sadly it's not as easy an experience as being in Marrakech and you will get harassed a fair bit.
