In line with the overall spirit of the Sofitel Mogador hotel, the gastronomic restaurant played with spices twisting French and Moroccan aromas. We dined here with our three children and were very well looked after, and extremely satisfied with our meal. Service was impeccable. The decor of the restaurant itself was delightful with some lovely circular seating arrangements which contributed to a cosy and intimate meal (don't sit at the gorgeous round tables however if you are any way plump). Everything we ate was simply delicious. Lots of clever use of spices and foie gras. The dishes were copious so be sure to have a good appetite so you can enjoy. The waiters give good advice and will guide you through the menu. Our children - youngest 9 - were made very welcome and really enjoyed it too. Two of children ordered for their main course the ravioli and sautéed foie gras. Having already had foie gras for the starter it was a bit too much for them. If I was to order again I would just ask for the ravioli for them. A nearby table celebrated a birthday and the staff all came out with a birthday cake singing in the local language. Definitely a visit is worthwhile if you are after a special evening in Essaouira.
