Having spent a night in Marrakech I decided to venture out and ended up on the coast road south. I stumbled across the Hotel Dauphin in Sidi Kaouki and have to say I fell in love with the place. The location, rooms, food and hospitality made it such a good stay. If you stay in one the upstairs rooms at the front you will have one of the best views possible, the big bay windows open up to allow the lovely sound of the waves and great sunshine in. The food was lovely and for someone who is quite fussy, they were great when asking what I would like, they were very accomodating. During the days I went on the beach, in the surf and just relaxed at the front of the hotel. With the owner, locals and other guests happy to stop to chat and share experiences. If you are looking for a relaxed hotel with great food and hospitatlity then this is the place for you. Just dont tell everyone as want it to be the same everytime I go back and Im already planning my next trip.

Room Tip: One of the front rooms on the first floor...

After leaving Marrakech in order to explore the area around Essaouira we stumbled upon this little gem. After a meal at the Hotel and a relaxing stroll along the beach we decided to stay and chill out a while before moving on. We certainly made the right choice. After the hustle and bustle of Marrakech this place was an oasis of calm. The Hotel proprietor and staff were polite, friendly and did everything they could help us enjoy our time there. Within an hour or two of checking in we felt part of the family! The Hotel is clean, the food excellent and the beach awesome. Top class value and I'd reccommend it to anyone.

We planned to stay in Sidi Kaouki for 1 night/ day but ended up staying for 3 as the place and Dauphin Hotel were so good. Its the first hotel you see on the left as you enter Sidi Kaouki and although there are plenty hotels to choose from, ranging from 1st class to basic backpacker hostels, this is the best we found for value for money, location, friendliness. The views from the front rooms and terrace of the beach and sunset are unbelievable.
The owner Saad made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for him and he gave us lots of great local advice and information. If you want to hire surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing equipment or quad biking, horse riding he will arrange it. Alternatively if you just want to relax and unwind, which is what we did most of the time, then this is the place to be.
He speaks excellent English so no problems with communication.
Breakfast is included in the price but we also ate there in the evenings. The food choice is plentiful and delicious, just tell them what you fancy and they will prepare it ! We found out while staying in Sidi Kaouki that the prices for our meals in the Dauphin were no more expensive than the row of beach cafes on the front, bonus !
Thanks to everyone at the Dauphin we will definitely be back.
