“Location location”
Reviewed 15 February 2013

This would not be worth reviewing in the Medina, but way out by the beach is slim pickings. The beer is reasonably priced, the mint tea excellent and the food adequate. I had a thin, tough, but flavorful steak and fries. The fried seafood combo was big and met the general town standard. If you are staying at one of the beach hotels and just can't drag yourself into town, this is just the ticket.

“Perfect Pitstop”
Reviewed 21 November 2012

This sidewalk cafe was halfway on our walk to the center of town turning our stay at the Vent des Dunes hotel into the perfect balance of relaxation and workout. The first time we stopped at Mogador was primarily for a bathroom break and we felt obliged to order something. The sidewalk seating had the feel of Paris with an ocean view. Tables were packed with interesting looking locals and tourist, and after a beer, we thought we'd try the food. Bread and olives arrive with little fanfare but are local and delicious. The Moroccan salad was fresh and flavorful. The calamari was crisp and light, accompanied by frites that were done to perfection.
After another Casablanca Beer, we moved inside the cafe to watch a little soccer with the locals. We ended up at Mogador on two other walks into town and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The owner and staff remembered us as return customers and we got great service. We met some delightful people as we sat and watched the world drift by on Moroccan time. Make a pitstop, have a beer and then plan to return.
