really lovely place, our bed was huge and sprinkled with rose petals every day. lovely big room. only down side was the bathroom which had a very small bath with hand held shower, but dont let this put you off it was lovely. the views are not great from the terrace but it was so lovely and relaxing it didnt matter. a great place to stay and very central with lovely staff.

This riad is beautifully presented. All the rooms are individually decorated and there is ample space to sit (on the roof terrace there are tables & chairs and also sunloungers) and relax without feeling like you have other guests right next to you.

Breakfast is lovely (fresh orange juice, coffee, croissants, baguettes, jam, eggs etc).
Your room is decorated with fresh rose petals on a daily basis and there is a lovely smell in the place from oil burners.

The staff are what makes this place so welcoming. Always asking how your day has been, whether you slept well or you had a nice dinner in the place they recommended. My partner also unfortunately had an ear infection from being on the plane. The very helpful French lady owner organised a fantastic doctor within half an hour to come to our room and then showed us the nearest pharmacy when we were armed with our prescription.
Most Moroccans speak French, not all English. So just be aware of that and maybe brush up a bit on your French GCSE skills and you will be able to communicate with people there a lot better and also have a more interesting time I reckon.

I also had a massage at Casa Lila one day which was lovely and in a beautiful room. I would have had more treatments there but Essaouira is so lovely and interesting I didn't want to spend too much time indoors.

In conclusion, I had a really special time at Casa Lila and could go on and on. A big thank you to the owner and the staff who made our visit to this beautiful city even more lovely.

We stayed here in early Feb and though booked in the Vert Anis suite on the ground floor, we were asked if we'd like another room further up. We chose the Gris Perle - which looked out on to a courtyard terrace shared with one other room. A great room - huge! Beautiful big bath as well. And then we were just one more floor up to the terrace where we had breakfast every morning. Breakfast was delicious - pancakes, cakes, pastries as well as eggs and yogurt. What a lovely start - and the sunshine just made it even better! The staff on reception and in the kitchen are just great. Really helpful and laughing. We had a lovely time here

We absolutely loved the place! Stayed in the Saffron suite with iths beautiul warm colours. - The whole place is just very special with every room being decorated in different colours. The owner was extremley friendly and showed us several rooms to choose from.

The staff also helped us book a hotel in Marrakech - Riad Anya - at the same discounted rate we had enjoyed already at Casa Lila - so this was highly appreciated.

We also tried out their espace bien-etre, and both had a massage which was divine - so highly recommended.

Overall this was our favourite non-traditional riad during our almost 3 weeks trip in Morocco. So highly recommend and also plan to stay a bit longer as Esaouira is just perfect to chill out.

This Riad is just the most amazing oasis of calm, you step out of the hustle bustle of the busy streets to find peace and tranquility and a team of staff who are friendly, efficient, happy and only too willing to help you however they can. Our room was just as shown on the website, the colours beautiful and it was clean, spacious & very comfortable. We were lucky with the weather & were able to take breakfast on the terrace roof each morning, the meal was simple but very fresh and ample for our needs. We also ate in the Riad one evening, this was a very personalised evening and the food was lovely. Whilst I have read many reviews on TripAdvisor in the past I have never felt compelled to write a review myself until we stayed at Casa Lila but I cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

I spent 5 days at the casa Lila at the beginning of september ; This Riad is adorable with very orginal decorations, the room on the roof top terrace is very comfortable, as its beautifully decorated, very spacey and is extremely clean and well kept.
The breakfast was served very generously and was delicous, we enjoyed this magical moment on the roof topped terrace over looking the Medina.
In the evening the patio was lighten by candles inhancing the mystical atmosphere, where one could imagine oneself in a fairy story………..
We highly recommend this Riad, with its excellent staff and very caring owners……..

Although our room matched the wonderfully colourful description expected this was soon dimmed by the most uncomforatble bed, poor lighting and knowledge of yoga needed to negotiate the loo!

The staff tried to be helpful, but generally stayed out of our way; language could have been a barrier. The owner introduced himself twice to us, therefore we did not register with him at all despite the lack of guests.

A bottle of water would have been appreciated more than rose petals on the bed and sink.
