Checked into this hotel because of the huge "Promotion" sign stating I could have a room for 300dhs.
The counter clerk disagreed and said my room was 600dh and when asked he tried to say the promotion was only for couples.
I didn't get into why that mattered or in fact that I was less than a couple and asked for his best price, which was 550. I shrugged and paid, and he rang through my visa at 450 per night while I just watched, not understanding.
The suites were nice, although a bit basic. No AC. That just didn't make sense. The TV only got about 7 channels, one in English. Room was adequately clean. Bath shower head was covered with calcium deposits. Hot water ran out more than once.
The bar is dry. No beer or wine. You can get it down the street at the beach.
WiFi worked in the lobby but there are different routers in various blocks. You are left a pass code in room, but mine didn't work. The front desk clerk didn't believe me that it didn't work and left me standing st the counter ignoring me in hopes I'd go away. I did, since it was obvious he wasn't going to help.
Breakfast was very basic. I found olive pits in my cornflakes (presumably pre eaten and left in uneaten cornflakes and recycled.) The warming trays of food were cold to the touch, indicating possible problems with food safety. I didn't go back.
The car park was supposed to be included, but the security guy kept begging shamelessly for tips.
Doors have to be slammed to close, so you get woken every hour or worse.
The thing that really ruined the stay for me was the last NIV the had a wedding. They warned me fair enough, and said music would play until midnight.
It was still blaring at 7am so I left with a long drive ahead and NO sleep, and as I did the front desk guy and security were begging for tips again.
Try somewhere else. Trust me.
