From the reviews I read this seem to be a very pleasant location to stay. I am currently looking for a lodge in Pemba and this should be a great option. How can I contact Residencial Reggio for reservations? I would like to travel there in December but there is no email information available on this website. Does anyone here have their email address to share? Thank you so much.

I am not giving 5 stars for the following reasons:
- a bit pricey
- the room style was not my favorite, but that's a bit subjective, admittedly

This was the first time in Mozambique that we were warmly welcome by the manager. She was also very helpful in suggesting places where to eat. We really relaxed and felt comfortable. Internet worked perfectly well.

I think for travellers, starting their explorations at Pemba,Reggio Emilia is the best option in town.Very friendly staff, extraordinarily clean and a fine place for eating next door(there is no restaurant in Reggio Emilia at the moment).Do not pay more than 250 Mt(less than 10$) for the taxi from Airport to the hotel!

Last minute but even so exceptional.
Manager was efficient, friendly and helpful.
Rooms were
ptable, comfortable and most importantly clean.
I found the scented 3 ply toilet paper a bit over the top but them I'm sure others will love that.
Fairly pricey at 4000 meticais for the offering.

Stayed here for a month nearly and it was perfect. The showers as appears to be typical in any Portugese speaking country leaked all over the floor but what the hell, there were showers AND hot water and decent showers at that. Excellent clean rooms greatly added to by the addition of a kettle and tea-making facilities during my stay. Friendly staff and people. Sufficient (though unchanging) breakfast. A safe and friendly atmosphere. No hesitation in staying here again. No evening meals but there is Piet's Place next door and a short walk to Wimbi one way and Kahuri the other.

Room Tip: The friendliest Jack Russell you will meet. Piet's Place food is slow but always good and the co...

Thanks for your review. Hope to see you soon enough and we'll make sure the showers don't leak the floors anymore at all. LOL!!! Sorry about that.

As for the breakfasts we've added a few more things... and who knows, if you come around June, the eating room will be ready and you can then savour our almost fully biological food.

Five of us could only spent one night at Reggio Emilia. We were made welcome and shown our rooms which were clean and comfortable with airconditioning. If you prefer fresh air the window (with good strong fly screens) could be opened both sides of the room for a cool breeze. The room had a large verandah where breakfast was brought to us so we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings before having to continue our journey. Staff were friendly and helpful and the complex has good, though not overpowering, security.

Room Tip: I didn't roam the other rooms so I have no idea which are better!
