Description: Located on Swakopmund's historical iron Jetty which, after being closed for 10 years was renovated and reopened to the public by The Lighthouse Group on 6 August 2010. Breathtaking views looking back from the Atlantic ocean to land, or out to sea. A varied menu serving seafood dishes, sushi, steaks and more. Perfect for that romantic date or special occasion. A must for every visitor to Swakopmund

A great location, the evening was rough and so it meant in strong gusts of wind the building moved. This only added to a very enjoyable experience. The food especially the fish dishes were first. Be warned the jalapeños are hot and thanks to the advice of our helpful waitress one plate is enough for 2 people

We were in the company of good people so the food did not take center stage but rather the interesting conversations. However, afterward, could not help but think that wished we went to a different restaurant and had better lunch. This has great location, beautiful view all around and a natural spot to rest your weary legs and enjoy the food if you are tourists like us. Being a seafood restaurant right on the pier, we were expecting their sushi to be really good. Far from it! Thai curry? Forget it. Perhaps their chef need to go train in Japan for sushi and Thailand for Thai curry. Service? Mediocre! I guess they rely mainly on their location and think it is enough of a crowd-drawer. I think not.

The perfect location for watching the setting sun with a "sundowner" in hand. We did not have a meal but highly recommend it for a sundowner drink with a plate of oysters for an uninterrupted view of the sun sinking into the ocean!

We had a very good dining experience at The Jetty. The fish (kingklip) was delicious, the Sole absolutely lovely . Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Lovely at night with the seagulls bobbing on the ocean and if the glass-bottom peepwindows were cleaned once in a while, I am sure that it would contribute to the experience. I liked the open-kitchen policy...always feel better when I can have a view of the chefs at work. All in all , a good eating experience, a bit pricey by Namibian and South African standards ( over R300 for the prawns), but for other travellers it would be quite reasonable and even leaning over to 'cheap' for any dish on the menu

It started very nice,we had sushi, the waves got bigger, then you felt the moving,a wave got high up on the window...we got a bit nervous, some people left the restaurant...then a too big wave came, broke the glass and the water came in...everyone ran out ,some people right in front got hurt from the braking glass...it was like in a movie...quite a expirience today...the sushi was stunning,as well as the service and of course the atmosphare...
