“Great Accurate History tour”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We loved the museum. The curator was an AW. "If you take photo's we require a donation"
The museum had old railway material and mining exhibits. A full on apothecary, and dentist rooms. Detailed ox wagons and animal fossils, was pretty great to step back in time and live like they did for a bit!

“A well worth visit”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

A must see if you have the time, we could have stayed longer, there's a movie showing how the area has developed over the year from the 1800s...really interesting, There lots to see and compare with what you've already seen during your travels around this truly unique country.

“This is well worth the time!!!!!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Excellent historical and "unique" cultural summary of Swakopmund and much of Namibia for that matter. Very affordable and interesting way to spend a couple or more hours. Also ask how you can get on the bus tour of the Rössing Uranium Limited mine and processing plant east of Swakopmund.

“Worth an hour or two.”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

Gives a good feel for the vibes of the German colonial period and makes an effort to portray the different indigenous ethnic groups of Namibia, but fails utterly to address the 1904 genocide. Will help you understand Swakopmund and Luderitz better.
