Had a three nights-stay here in october 2013, and I cannot give this place enough credit. The staff was very helpful and service-minded, and even made lunchpack for us on our departure day, as we were departing before breakfasttime. The rooms are spacious and with a very chic interior, and the rooms were very clean. Very good value for your money.

The staff is helpful with ordering transport, book tables at restaurants and other things. I am very happy with my stay, and will most certainly go back during my next trip to Swakopmund :) a big thumb up for "The Honesty Bar" as well!

We stayed in Namib guesthouse for two nights in September 2013. We were upgraded to a family suite, which was very spacious, modern, clean and nice in general. The amenities included a fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, free WiFi and free parking on the street in front of the guesthouse with their own security guy. The laundry was reasonably priced.

The host was very friendly and fluent in German, so German guests might have felt even more welcome. The breakfast was very good.

It tooks us approximately 10 minutes to walk to the city centre (shops, banks) and 10 minutes to walk to the seaside with two very good restaurants. We tried the Jetty at the end of the pier and the food was tasty and nicely presented, even though they ran out of tuna. Ask the host to make a reservation, the place gets full.

Great small hotel / guesthouse located in a quite residential part of Swakopmund, but within short walking distance to shops and sea front.

Nikki was absolutely charming and really helpful in recommending and arranging excursions and restaurants for us.

Spacious rooms with very comfortable and clean beds. Breakfast area is nicely decorated and serves excellent food. Our travel agent had classified the Namib Guesthouse as Simple. Whilst that is true, it does rather under-sell what is a delightful place to say.

Room Tip: I preferred the rooms at the front of the guesthouse

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful guesthouse. The room was beautifully decorated and right in the front, the downside being that you heard people coming in or leaving and if you're a light sleeper like me, it was slightly disturbing. The one other downside was the bathroom would steam up when having a shower and with no extraction fan, it remained like that for quite sometime.

The host was really friendly and very helpful in sorting all our restaurant reservations, excursions timings etc to ensure it all went smoothly. Breakfast was delightful, lots of choice, fresh fruit & juice and eggs to order.

Location was excellent, walking distance to a lot of places, parking up front and guard outside all night.

All in all and excellent guesthouse and would highly recommend.

Very nice surprise! Incredible rooms and very comfortable. Only place in Namibia I've found with free wifi and built in power converters (useful for dummies like me who forget their adapters back home!)

Fairly thin walls so earplugs recommended for light sleepers.

The Namib Guesthouse is a real gem. It is very new, modern, with all the ammenities. Decor is beautiful, rooms are really comfortable and bathrooms are nice wetrooms. The only thing is that the rooms, which face a patio at the back of the property have huge windows facing it (a bit like shop windows), but this implies that you have to keep your curtains drawn if you don't want to be overlooked by passer-by (these are not opaque curtains, but in overcast days feels a bit dark). The breakfast was very good, with variety and quality. Location is away from the centre, but walking distance. Also very tranquil. I would definively stay here again when I am back in Swakop and recomend the Namib to anyone staying in Swakop. Brilliant choice!
