Nice place, Needs More assistance on Reception. F&B was amazing, my kids loved the cakes and pastries. Break Fast good. Staff friendly. Very humid, the Pool saved us. We liked the concept of receiveing on the house Fruit Sticks on the pool. Buggies take some time to come. Johnson Thank you for being nice to our kids!! WE took your advice and went on the Camel Ride :)
THe check in took time.

We were a group of friends with no where to go in muscat and decided to travel all the way to Nahda resort for a fun time as we had they will have the best party happening in the pool area.. We booked almost 5 rooms, and we got them on time with the best service as always. The rooms were close to the pool area and it was easy access to it, we were hungry and enjoyed the buffet in the restaurant which was also close to our rooms. The pool party was fabolous and we got to meet alot of people of all nationality. You made our night the best, waiting for other events from Nahda.. Thanks

Me and my wife had been to a pool party at Al Nahda organized by Nightlife Events. The best part is we were so impressed by the ambiance and the hospitality there. The party was well organized and it was a wonderful experience. I would love to be back there for the next show.

We just spent our Eid Holidays with the full family and booked/paid for 4 rooms. This is our 4th stay and Al Nahda never improved their front office services at all, we have to wait for 3 hours to be able to get our rooms. The children became unruly and hungry waiting at the lobby. Check-in time is 2 pm but you have to wait for 3 hours to get your rooms. So many guests were shouting, cursing and waiting at the lobby for their rooms. The service never improved after all these years. We promised to ourselves that we will never go to Al Nahda again as our blood pressures are shooting high with their poor services. Then we have to fight with the rude staff and security when we went to the pool. They do not want to allow the inhouse guests to use the pool freely and stricting 2 person per room as they have this rain dance party at the pool. Swimming pool is included in the money that we paid for the rooms but we have to fight to get our children and other guests in the pool area. They have the rude bodyguards over there who are discriminating us as we are not locals. So for those who want to stay at Al Nahda, please think again.

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we faced many problems leading us to conclude that we were going through a terrible experience with sub-standard staff, poor service personnel, and an ambient far from a resort esthetics. Our dream for spending a calm, relaxed and joyful stay was turned into frustration, discomfort and total disappointment. I say we because it includes me, my wife and my two older sons.

We booked for a Royal Suite, the most expensive one about €325 (special discounted rate) per night. We arrived at 15:00 to find it was not ready. We were made to wait in the reception area until 16:25. While waiting, no one cared to offer a cup of tea or a glass of water. What a 5 star hospitality! And no one cared to clean the coffee table in front of us from empty water bottles and other leftovers by the people before us. In the meantime a guest came inside and went to the reception counter. He was wearing a beach short. Nothing in his feet or on his body! His appearance was disgusting in an area filled with families and children. No one bothered to tell him that the 'resort' rules did not allow such appearance in public areas like the reception and the restaurants. These rules are written in their guest guide.

Finally we entered our ‘Suite Royale’ at around 16:35. It had 2 sleeping rooms, two bathrooms and living & dining area with a kitchenette counter. It looked comfortable for four people, cozy and clean but far from being Royale! A few minutes later we found no towels in one of the bathrooms and only two small bottles of the complimentary water. Fortunately a housekeeper was nearby cleaning another room. She brought us more towels and water when we asked her.

Later on we wanted to drink some tea. We found only two mugs in the kitchenette, exactly 4 tea bags and 4 Nescafe and sugar sachets. There were no cups or teaspoons and nothing else! What a ‘Royale’ hospitality! We called Housekeeping for more mugs or cups, teaspoons and some more teabags. Housekeeping asked us to call Room Service. We did and the anwer was call Housekeeping! Without arguing we called Housekeeping again! In the meantime my wife and my sons were just laughing in disbelief of what was happening! After some explanation, Housekeeping finally agreed to bring the complimentary items. But did they do it? We waited for half an hour and got nothing! We gave up and went outside walking in the garden.

In the evening there was another incident with a major disturbance: a noisy music party in the open by the swimming pool. The kind of music being played was third class bang-bang, no where any close to the taste and like of real 5-star guests. This is the kind of music you only hear in low class pubs and bars. Still we did not bother because it was the privacy of the people who wanted it! However, our own privacy in our own room, and for some families’ too, was disturbed. The music was so loud that we could not concentrate on any TV station. I called the reception asking for help to lower the music. He responded that he would inform his manager. At around 11:00 pm the matter was no better and I called again. It was time for us to go to bed after a tiring day. I was told there was a party and the music would stop at 2:00 am! There was no action taken to reduce the volume. Since the rooms were not sound-proof, our only choice was to stay sleepless until the bang-bang stopped. What a ‘calm’ night!

In the morning I decided to take a walk in the garden and a dip in the pool. My family stayed inside. While walking around, I saw empty soda cans, water bottles, and chips sachets littering all around the beautiful landscape. I saw no one collecting them. At the swimming I noticed the water was dirty. Two staff were standing by and one told me the pool was used until 3:00 am the night before and it won’t be ready before 9:00 am. By then the sun will be high and hot. So I gave up the idea of a morning dip and went for a shower in my room instead.

After having the buffet breakfast, which was reasonably good and big, we decided to check out earlier than we originally planned. We had nothing else to do here! We were disappointed by the many negative incidents we went through. Moreover, the dinner we had at the Lebanese restaurant the night before was sub-standard in quality and expensive in price. So we decided to cancel the lunch plan at the second resort restaurant.

Around 12:00 pm we called the concierge to help us with our bags. No one picked up the phone. So we tried the reception but no one answered the call. We kept trying for half an hour and both were not answering. We called the housekeeping (Imagine!) who said they would try to help us. We finally gave up and decided to walk with the bags. At the reception counter I saw another guest complaining about the same thing: no one answering the phone! I asked them one question: Are we are really in a 5 star resort? There was no answer but their facial expressions and body language said more than their quiet mouths!

Call it anything but 'Resort'; Give it any low rating but not five stars! My best advice is to stay away from this place! Your hard-earned money and personal comfort worth much more than spending them here! And there are many better four and five star alternatives Muscat than this one!
