Boquete Tree Trek Mountain Resort needs all these adjectives in its name to adequately identify itself. It provides unique accommodations for a unique region of Panama. We enjoyed our stay even though we didn't take advantage of their own tours or adventures. They, and with several other outfitters advertise, canopy tours, beach excursions to Boca del Toro, coffee tours and mountain hikes.
We stayed in this quiet complex of newish rustic cabins. It seemed that most cabins slept four with a king bed, two twins on a loft and one bathroom. Each had a spiral staircase to the twin beds. They provided coffee, water and ice. There were no visible heat or AC systems, but the temperature is likely between 65 and 70 a large majority of the time.
They offered a continental breakfast with the room rate, that was adequate with toast, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. You can pay to order a more elaborate breakfast. They offer a full service restaurant and bar with good food and drink. We ate two dinners there for our two night stay. One big reason that we ate there was a pretty slow and arduous driveway leading up from the town of Boquete. We had a car but found the 4 km gravel driveway too rough on our car to take more than once up and once back. They offer a shuttle three times per day and taxis would drive you up for reason fee. The free rides were pretty early (7:30, Noon and 4:00 down to town, plus 8:30, 1:00, and 3:00 up to resort). Both evenings we were too tired to do anything but enjoy their dining experience (between 6:00 and 8:30).
