On February 22, I helped Panama Rock Climbing and Habla Ya Spanish School put on a rock climbing clinic for thirty-three children from the Hogar Triskar orphanage in Boquete. The entire experience was fantastic and showed the commitment of Panama Rock Climbing and Habla Ya to the community and kids looking for a better life in the future. Besides, how often do I get to flash an arete in my tennis shoes (they didn't have any climbing shoes in my size that day and I hadn't brought my gear to Panama)?
Panama Rock Climbing is a great company that combines patience, expertise and fun--you'll love it. And next time I'm bringing my shoes.
