After returning from this wonderful vacation, in Boquete, Panama, I could close my eyes and still see the clouds covering the famous "Volcan Baru." Boquete is about 350 miles from Panama City, Panama in Central America. This quaint hotel, known as Los Establos is splendid with incredible hospitality, view and climate. The hotel lends itself for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. As you wake up in the morning, looking outside your room, you can see the spectacular view, the coffee plantations surrounding the hotel, most importantly enjoying nature to the fullest away from the hussle of our hectic life. As an avid photographer, this hotel was a dream come true. I could take a morning hike and see the locals going about their lives. The coffee plantations are the areas number one. I was very impressed with the staff's unique service. The hotel's presentation was superb. The staff's attention to detail is hard to duplicate, always making you feel at home. Climate in this "paradise" is cool, with no excessive heat lending itself to a "romantic and quaint setting." The room decor are set in a "rustic" setting. The hotel has 4 rooms and 2 suites with wonderful amenities and view.
The jacuzzi is lovely and is set in an enclosed gazebo. However, this hotel is not for children. The hotel's activities are limited but in the nearby town, of Boquete, which is about 5 minutes away, you'll find all wonderful outdoor activities to make your trip an adventurous one. Most of the people in the town speak English and the food is delicious with many locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Don't pass up the opportunity to enjoy this "heavenly paradise."
If you want to mix a little luxury with outdoor activities, this is an absolute must. You wont be disappointed. Visit Boquete. The pictures will show you "Los Establos'" beauty. The view are breathtaking! See for yourself.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- A Boutique Inn in Boquete with tropical gardens and volcano views. Originally built as a fancy stable, this boutique hacienda still celebrates all things equine - think bronze horse statuettes, a cowhide rug, and rooms named for the former barn residents (Chombita, Rosita, Solita, more). Wrought iron, regal columns and colonial arches abound, as do tasteful furnishings picked up around South and Central America, including an impressive snakewood dining set carved by hand in Argentina. ... more less
