Comfortable room, lovely grounds, helpful staff, tasty breakfast: this was the nicest place I stayed in Panama. I particularly liked wandering around in the gardens at twilight, a cocktail from the bar in hand, listening to the river rolling by.
The only negative was one night when a group of local, retired Americans took over the restaurant. They had a singer and a guitarist playing nausea-inducing soft rock from the 1970's. It went on for about three hours, and the amplification was such that I had to flee my room. Luckily, Boquete is a lovely town with lots of charming little restaurants, so I was able to keep myself occupied until the horrible crooning was over.
Other than that one night, I adored this place. Even comes with inexpensive, easy-to-use laundry facilities.More
