A few tables for four on a reed roof covered terrace, a very clean and typical small "cabana" and a friendly welcoming host... setting where simple, fresh and correctly prepared seafood comes with careful presentation. A really juicy cooked lobster and freshly boiled tasteful prawns for the clasical prawn cocktail, all acompanied by dressings and crispy salads up to the nines !

Bien à savoir que vous pouvez vous addresser en français... English spoken without problems !

A hidden gem where I will return to taste the house' special seafood menu... all of it at more than reasonable prices !

True, there aren't that many restaurants in Farallon but La Fogata is easily the best one in town. They have made a name for themselves with the "Sexy Lobster" dish and it was a well done meal. The salad had nice greens, fresh ripe tomatoes and BEETS, which I loved, and the vinaigrette was very nice. The lobster was actually slightly overcooked but still tasty and succulent. We had coconut rice as the side and it complimented the lobster perfectly. For dessert, the flan was a great finish - extra creamy and rich but still light and refreshing. We also had the Filete de Pescado, which was a very large serving and almost too much to eat. I would have come back here if we had another night in Farallon!

La Fogata is located in Farrallon, 5 minutes from Hotel Royal Decameron, with a thatched roof and whimsical decor. The restaurant has been in existence for 12 years. The restaurant offers many excellent choices, but the specialty here is lobster. The "Sexy Lobster Dinner" is the signature dish and most popular. The lobster has firm, sweet flesh with delicious flavor and is "rapture on a fork." The 1/2 lb. lobster comes with two jumbo shrimp, salad, coconut rice, and dessert. All dishes are made to order so come out of the kitchen hot and fresh. Calling ahead for reservations is recommended, and if you give them notice, you can specify what kind of lobster you would like (Pacific or Caribbean) as well as the size. Luz and George, the owners, are a congenial couple who obviously enjoy their customers and their restaurant.

We took the time to leave our all inclusive for some 'real' food! We ordered the lobster and filet mignon with appetizers, salad and dessert. The prices were reasonable for what we considered to be gourmet food - cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was lovely and the owners were warm and welcoming. Our only regret is to not to have found this gem sooner!

Small, intimate with excellent food and service in Spanish or English - steps from the Decameron resort. Owned by a Swiss gentleman and Panamanian lady (former model turned accountant!!)
this is a charming restaurant. Sit on the patio, and have the seafood. Trust me - after a week of all-inclusive drab fare this will be heaven.
