On our Peru journey, we stayed at Taypikala Hotel Lago. It was absolutely beautiful and we were truly welcomed. The staff were so very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our room was excellent and the hotel offers all amenities (including oxygen and tea for those of us from sea level!) There is a spectacular view of Lake Titicaca and beautiful grounds - in the hotel itself, the hallways are lined with displays of small artifacts and antique textiles of the region.
We chose Kontiki Tours and they provided an amazing and authentic spiritual journey. My everlasting and sincere thanks go to Sr. Jorge Luis Delgado and his staff - thank you for a wonderful life experience. Sending you all best regards.

This Hotel is amazing. The food is superb, fresh and the presentation is worth its weight in gold!.
The room has all the amenities that one could ask for and the view of Lake Titicaca from the window is breathtaking. The walls are adorned with antique textiles of Inca shaman and q'ero's and it is worth walking up and down each hall to take in this spectacular museum quality weavings. The restaurant staff is friendly, the shops in the hotel are also of a high quality. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Jacqueline

Room Tip: view of Lake Titicaca has spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

Not only are the accommodations lovely - rooms warm, hot water, great beds etc -- the hotel itself is a museum in it's collections of tapestries and sacred objects. All are displayed in throughout the hotel-- in elegant glass cabinets or mounted on the walls for all to enjoy.

The food is excellent!! and the service and staff are helpful, friendly, and multi-lingual. Sunrise and sunsets are beautiful - grounds are even nicer than they look in the photos. I have stayed many places in Peru and Bolivia and this is by far and away the nicest to date. The attention to every detail is exquisite and results in a stay that one feels nurtured by the beauty of it all.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floors if you are noise sensitive- as there is a ping pong table and flooze ball on the second floor - and the noise (if folks are playing) carries down the hall. Enthusiastic and joyful sounds- and not quiet :)

This beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Titicaca was my favorite place to stay in Peru. Our large suite with king size bed, comfortable couches and private access to a deck overlooking the lake was the perfect place to watch the sun come up. The hotel walls are full of beautiful weavings and the grounds are littered with pottery, crystals and a large labyrinth. The are many spaces both inside and out to spend time alone or with others in quiet reflexion. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a game room and pool for those requiring more activity. There is also a large banquet area making this an ideal place for a wedding.
