“Wonderful Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

Beautiful hotel that sits up high and has a wonderful view of the lake. The rooms and beds are comfortable and clean. It is not walking distance from Puno, but it is very relaxing. The owner, Jorge will take care of anything you need. My friend and I were not feeling well due to altitude sickness and he was very quick to help and suggest things to get us feeling better. He checked on us to make sure we were okay. There is a designated taxi driver so you always know the face of who is picking you up. This was very nice since it was just 2 girls getting picked up at the Plaza in the middle of the (kind of) sketchy city. Breakfast was made for us as soon as we were ready to sit down and eat, nice and warm. We didn't eat any other food because we were not feeling well, but the breakfast was good. There is a path around the hotel with more beautiful views that make for great pictures. Highly recommend.

Extremely friendly staff. Relatively recent hotel. The owner, Jorge and his family, lived for 12 years in DC.
The hotel is built atop the hill, with a breathtaking view on lake Titicaca and the city of Puno.
The hotel isn't super comfortable (bathrooms are a little cold), but the people there are so nice that it compensates totally.
Each room has its own view on the lake. The hotel is at the end of a dirt trail, don't be surprised. Jorge, the owner, will get you taxis at very good rates to anywhere you want, and Victor has a fire going every night to warm the room and cook pizzas if you want them. Great atmosphere. You feel at home in the lounge. You can walk around the hotel for a >13,000 ft high panoramic tour. Watch your breath!
Booking process was a little iffy as I called directly and had to confirm several times.

This hotel is located in the hills surrounding Puno with a fantastic view of the city and Lake Titikaka. We booked a triple room for out family of 4 including a teen and a pre-teen, and it was more than sufficient with nice double beds. Its secluded and far removed from the hustle and bustle of Puno. All the rooms come with the view which is truly spectacular, both at night and during the day. The food in the restaurant was real good, and we opted to eat there again the second night.

The best part was the fantastic service provided by the owner and his staff. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. He helped book my onward journey to Cusco, picked us up from the bus station, and arranged for taxis to and from the city. He even gave me aspirin to deal with an persistent headache (from the altitude) as I was only carrying Tylenol. I was a bit worried given its location, but definitely no regrets.

I highly recommend this hotel.
If you are looking for somewhere central to downtown Puno, this isn't the place, but if you are looking for a beautiful hotel with amazing views, super comfy beds, and serenity, this is it! They even have a nice little path behind the hotel that has even more gorgeous views. Also, llamas!

The owner was extremely nice and helpful. They don't have a restaurant at the moment, so they only offer breakfast (which was very nice, and they easily accommodated my gluten allergy) The views are breathtaking and they even have nice bathtubs!

Make sure you arrange pick up from the bus station because the hotel is newer and not all taxi drivers will know where it is.

Room Tip: All rooms have the same amazing view, so it doesn't matter which one you get!

The service was great, we came tired from arequipa and receptionist didnt make a fuss with admin and told us we can do it later. The rooms have heating and there was a hot shower, rooms are spacious very nice, clean with AMAZING VIEW on city/lake. The restaurant has limited menu, but it is good, and they have this amazing fire place, where they can make pizza for you. First day we actually got this compliementary pizza. We could leave our luggage with them for those two days when we went to copacabana and basically then survive our time till 10 pm bus in a nice atmosphere. The laundry was done perfect. The owner very helpful with arranging taxis, calling our bus provider to copacabana etc etc. the hotel is a bit outside of city but taxi costs 15 sol so it is ok, the road is a bit steep but we got used to it. They have also this little group of llamas/ alpacas which will walk outside your windows when you wake up, really nice, with a little baby alpaca - so cute ;). It is really nice place to stay in puno.

The most beautiful place in Puno! Great place to enjoy the silence and peace and quiet. The breakfast was great but the best was the staff. After less than a day it felt like we were part of the family.
The hotel is new so the taxi did not know where to go. A tip for that, tell the driver to go close to the radio towers. Also make sure you have cash enough to pay your stay, they still didn't have the choice to pay with the credit card. One great option would be to contact the hotel and ask the possibility that they pick you up.
I highly recommend the place!

we were happy with over all experience . No heater in room, basic breakfast in AM. Other wise service were very good.Great location and view of entire Puno and Lake Titikakaka, Room size and hot water and WIFI were great .

Room Tip: Be aware many hotels in Peru will not have Heating . so when you book you may want to ask about that...
