Puno street streets were being torn-up outside the hotel and the hot water was not really hot plus the cold water tap didn't work! Coming back from our "floating island" trip the weather suddenly changed to hailstones and the hotel lobby was flooded! Chairs were provided as a bridge to get us to our room. However we could walk to the centre from here.

Nice staff, pleasant rooms that are comfortable and nice and warm in the cold weather (we were there during December) and only a block or so away from the main area. I would most definitely recommend it.

Having your hotel on a torn up street could be a little off-putting, but it worked out fine. The hotel staff carried our luggage from the corner and back as needed. The hotel staff were efficient and the room was fine. Breakfast was quite good, although our room overlooked the roof of the dining area and it was a little much to hear Christmas carols played on the pan flute wafting through the door and window at 6 am. The breakfast eaters really don't need music that early in the morning, and certainly the sleepers (or would be sleepers) don't. Wi-fi and computers were available, although the connection was very slow. The hotel was located minutes from the main square and good restaurants, although getting there through the construction was a chore. I wish I could go back to see the final results.
I would recommend this hotel for your relaxing pleasure.

Visiting Puno for Lake Titikaka we stayed in Casa Andina.
Although front street is under construction and almost impossible to locate hotel, staff was very attentive. Hotel was well located near Plaza de Armas and other walkable restaurants. Good and simple breakfast. Good pizza al "leño". Rooms are ok, too cold, coming from caribbean weather.
Recommended for weekend stay.

We stayed here for one night in November 2013. The street was up and it was pouring with rain, but the hotel has a wood burning stove for serving home made pizzas so we were able to stay in. The Casa Andina chain seems fairly reliable and this suited us fine for a brief stopover before going out on the Lake. The staff were helpful and the rooms clean and adequate, although not particularly luxurious.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at our Classic Puno Tikarani.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your last stay with us. We appreciate your kind comments about our staff members, as well as our facilities. Nevertheless, we would like to mention you that Casa Andina has three different brands for each type of traveler. Our Classic brand, offers basic services unlike our Private brand which are more luxurious.

We hope we can welcome you back any time soon.

Best regards,

The Casa Andina Team
