Wow! What a stay! This was the last hotel I stayed at on my 2 week trip throughout Peru and I must say we saved the BEST for last. This hotel is very unique. It is an award-winning eco-lodge located on Isla Suasi, Lake Titicaca’s sole private island. As it is an eco resort, there are no plug ins in the room but you can easily charge all your electronics in the lobby. They turn of electricity in the rooms for most of the day, so plan accordingly. The rooms were cozy, I especially enjoyed the woodburning stove in our room which kept us warm at night. The staff was friendly and caring. The food was good, I especially enjoyed the daily BBQ lunches which were served outside in the garden overlooking Lake Titicaca. This is a great place to get some rest after a long trip but if you are more active, there is definitely stuff to do. We walked around the island a few times and took out kayaks which was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend staying here!!

Tried everything to satisfy us… changed rooms…etc… we enjojed the food..and took some sandwiches for next days excursions… was a bit strange to bite in a sandwich which was
marked date of preparation and done by Hitler…. it tasted fantastique and was not vegetarian..

that someone marked the personal is not so friendly is a bit strange to us… even we stayed only one nite we felt good hosted.. even we arrived without prior reservation ...

So we can recommend the hotel the view is outstanding… and the rooms are nicely decorated even they could be a big spacier..

Isla Suasi is a lovely location for a quiet, restful holiday on Lake Titicaca. The hotel is lodge-like and comfy; our rooms were smallish but cozy with a woodburning stove that kept us warm at night as well as hot water bottles that were placed in our beds during turn-down. Our room view was of the lake. The bathroom was big but could use a little more shelving for amenities.
Adjusting to the altitude kept us from being our usual active selves and had to avail ourselves of the oxygen offered by the hotel several times. Nevertheless, we were still able to explore the private island, hiking or running (a very slow run), climbing to the top of the island to watch the beautiful sunset, visiting with the alpacas, trying to get some glimpses of the shy vicunas, admiring the flowers and hummingbirds.

The lobby has lots of comfy seating with wood-burners lit in the evening. Wi-fi and charging stations are available in the lobby.

The meals offered were excellent. We ate our breakfasts and evening meals in the dining room and our lunches outside in the garden overlooking Lake Titicaca.

We ended our time in Peru with a couple nights here. If you are going to Peru, you should include Lake Titicaca in your plans. The floating islands are fascinating. Suasi is an eco-resort. No plug ins in the rooms. Electricity all from solar panels with lights on for a couple hours in the morning and then again in the evening. Off by 10P. The views of the sunset from the high point on the island are breathtaking. Food is good and the staff is friendly. I recommend the boat out to the island from Puno and then the quick zodiac to van transfer to the nearest airport for the return flight. If you are coming from Cusco, don't miss the train to Puno.

Isla Suasi is a beautiful oasis located on Lake TIticaca. Traveling through Peru can be hectic and our stay on the island was a wonderful respite. The boat trip was very comfortable with interesting stops at Uros and Taquile Islands. Upon our arrival, we enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a flower filled garden overlooking the lake. There are many activities to enjoy....hikes, canoeing, and a spa. We had a spectacular room with a balcony and fireplace. The staff is attentive and friendly while providing top notch service.
Our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip. We only stayed one evening but if you have the time, a 2 night stay would be fabulous!

Room Tip: We had a lovely room on the second floor with a private balcony overlooking the lake and gardens. B...

We loved this place. The setting was gorgeous and the staff and facilities are great. We have a 9 yr old and an 11 yr old - neither of them wanted to leave. We went kayaking around the island and there are lovely walks. The gardens are beautiful and the wildlife was lovely. When the kids were tired they played pool and table football. The room was lovely and the restricted electricity hours didn't worry us (solar panels generate much of the electricity). The water pressure in the shower was poor but everything else outweighed this. Would love to return.

This is an island which immediately relaxes you. A wonderful trip across Lake Titicaca culminates with the arrival on Suasi Island. A lovely welcome, a gentle walk and entry to the hotel a welcome drink and then a beautiful alfresco lunch with a stunning view over the lake. The staff are great and go out of their way to help you and ensure that you are happy....and we were...very happy. the colours on the island are stunning and the wildlife, vicuna, llama, alpaca, rabbits and birdlife add to the delight. Needless the say the sunsets are divine!!
The Hotel is an Eco Hotel as it advertises itself...no plug sockets or TV in the rooms, limited w- fi a central gadget charging area...all perfectly acceptable along with a lovely wood burning stove in your bedroom.
The food is excellently prepared and served and has a decent but small range of wines and drinks. The BBQs are great fun as well and the breakfasts are substantial.
This place makes you relax...do not come here if you expect it to be like downtown Manhattan or technology friendly, like another TripAdvisor correspondent did....this is AN ISLAND a small island designed to get you away from it all!
The staff are great, the manager is friendly and runs a good hotel.....Miriam is fantastic and should win employee of the year and Raoul the guide is knowledgeable, friendly and a joy to be with...join him on his hikes or his star gazing tour.
come here and experience the beauty and peace of a Garden of Eden!

Room Tip: just come here
