This hotel is not in Puno but an hours’ drive south. (Which made me very happy as Puno is very noisy and overcrowded).
Titilaka is a stunning new modern hotel with a very intimate feel. It is situated on a headland at the water’s edge with fabulous views of sunset and sunrise over the lake. “Vollpension” is a serious understatement – the three meals per day were of excellent quality and there was a free well-stocked minibar, happy hour drinks before dinner. Sunset watching and stargazing around a bonfire with champagne and canapés. Hand- knitted Llahma bedsocks, (to take away).
I agree with Fabio S, to book room only would be a big mistake as you are miles from anywhere. The Taquile Island trip leaves by boat from the hotel Jetty and a great way to spend a day (8.30 - th 15-00).

Little hard to get there but the landscape is worth it. You couldn't be any closer to the Titicaca lake. It will take a two hours drive from the nearest airport (Juliaca).
We booked the comprehensive package which is full board + excursions + transfers. A no brainier if you don't want to worry about additional planning. I don't recommend the "room only option" since there is no restaurants nearby and the food is really nice. The hotel is very beautiful with modern and design furniture. Rooms are spacious and at the same time comfy. All staff is very friendly and attentive. Language is not a barrier.
As for the excursions, we had an amazing journey to Taquile Island with the guide Julio. He had an extensive knowledge of the history and geography of Peru. A real on site class. Don't expect much from Uros floating islands, as it is very "Disney like" tourism. Sillustani was also pretty interesting.
Careful about the altitude. Being at 3800m above sea level is not an easy task for your body.

Room Tip: Most of the sunset rooms have two windows with an amazing view!

My forth visit to Lake Titicaca and finally I discover this amazing place! to star with the clean arquitecture and the location of the hotel is amazing. literraly ON the Lake. we satyed in the last suite which had two huge windows facing the lake. awseome view. the food and the service impecable. and the decoration, my favourite: a mix between clean simple and tradicional pieces from this particular region. we tour on boat, with the guide of the hotel several island: uros, taquile, amantani.... and teh floating! great experience! totaly worth it! highly recomended! :) cant wait to return!!!

Very expensive but worth it for a real treat. Gorgeous views. Superb guides really make this place exceptional. Food is reasonable but not all the dishes on the menu are perhaps as good as they should be at this price. Crazily expensive, but efficient, transfers from the bus station and to the train station.

So many nice things have been written about Titilaka. Our room was spectacular with a divine corner view. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. We experiences a high level of service and found the hotel to be very clean - with no flushing issues! Yeah, the wifi sucks but seriously I just wanted to look at the lake not my screen.
The outdoor area is lovely. Plenty of areas for relaxing and sunbathing. Be sure to take a dip in the lake, head out in a kayak and go for a bike ride. We took a couple of half day trips with other hotel guests (who were super nice). The general opinion on the Uros Island excursion was one of disappointment. It really doesn't seem authentic, more staged for the tourists.
We had the hotel van pick us up at the airport which included a guide and sandwiches but for about half the price they can arrange a great local taxi, we used that service on our return.
I would definitely stay at the Titilaka again. It was so relaxing.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, very tastefully so. The hotel has dusk suites which have wonderful views at sunset, and dawn suites facing the sunrise. Our dawn suite had an fabulous view. The dining area and lounge are lovely and very welcoming. But what struck me most was the friendliness of the staff. They were always ready to help and assist and always with a smile. I also love the all inclusive concept, meaning you can have drinks and canapes etc and that is included in the price. The food was delicious and the service at the restaurant very good.
The guided visit we took could be improved and better organised. We went to the Uros islands and had to wait 30 mins for the other two guests to be ready for example, and the guide wasn´t very well briefed. But other than that it was wonderful. Unfortunately, we didn´t have time to try other visits around the hotel. Sitting around the fire on the shores of the lake while savouring snacks (an activity that is prepared daily) looked very enticing!

This was a wonderful luxury all inclusive very expensive hotel where we had a wonderful stay. However it does miss out on some basic practicalities, firstly wifi keeps dropping out, toilets don't flush properly (public toilet in ladies didn't flush at all!), bar area not kept particularly clean. The rooms were large with picture windows looking out onto the lake which would have been wonderful had we not had to wipe them down with towel due to condensation (windows single glazed). Mini bar not restocked and nowhere practical to unpack clothes.
Having said that the guides were wonderful and we enjoyed our activities particularly our last day where we were taken across lake and then taxi to Sillustrani on our way to airport.
