“Interesting and fun tombstones :)”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Rhymes and sayings are mind-boggling. You will surely pause for a second and dig deeply what the humorous inscriptions is trying to tell you. You have to decipher or be clueless and idiot at all hahaha. A must-visit spot when you go inside CJH. A relaxing cemetery that will never cease to inject some sense of humour in every stop. :)

“Camp John Hay”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

As with most of the old, U.S. spots in the once esteemed Rest & Recuperation (?) place for those sailors and soldiers stationed in the Pacific, it is a bit run down, not well tended, but worth a walk through. The theme is one of tombstones burying but thoughts and bad habits. Sometimes clever, sometimes ominous epitaphs. One can spend a full day within the camp, plenty to see & do. Many dining options as well. Week-end live music at the 'Filling Station' is worth the time.

“good as part of the bell house tour, not by itself”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

This cemetery is small, because it is not really a real cemetery. Its a cemetery to bury all your negative attitudes. It was good that our group of 14 had too much sense(s) of humor(s) and we had a blast of making side jokes as the tour guides explained the "tombstones". Guests will appreciate this cemetery more with the presence of a guide rather than a DIY activity.

It's ironic that the overall score for this place is higher than that of the Bell House, when this cemetery is PART of the Bell House. For me, this cemetery of Negativism is a complement. To treat it as an independent attraction, its only 3 stars.

“Unique little statues”
Reviewed 31 January 2014

The statues in the cemetery are a whimsical collection of "graves". I enjoy this spot in one of the wooded hills in Camp John Hay. Used to be nicer when the Americans were still in charge.

“Letting go of your bad sides”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

I enjoyed checking out the tombs representing the origins and causes of bad situations - also a means to symbolically leaving there what's negatively bugging you.
