Very nice restaurant, well decorated.
Very good service, waiters and waitresses at your service for your every need.
Delicious sushis, well presented and fresh.
The rice is very well coocked and light.
Reasonable price.
Would highly recommend to any sushi lovers.

The place is clean and nicely decorated. The stuff is friendly but their English is not so good…
The food is great. The Jumbo Prawn Tempura Roll is excellent, the Spicy Negi Tuna is good but very spicy!. They have vegetarian dishes that are also good. Try the Miso Soup – it is excellent.
They also have good desserts. Ask to see the desserts menu (they don’t always offer it but they are great desserts there). The price is a little expensive for a sushi place, and there are other sushi restaurants in the area that are not so expensive but I still recommend trying Kai at least once. One strange thing - the place is closed between 2:00pm to 6:00pm - so if you like to eat late lunch during the weekend this is not the place for you.

While Kai has relocated to the much nicer Greenbelt 5, it still serves excellent modern-style Japanese fusion food, with at times surprising combinations and preparations yet always very satisfying for even the most difficult of palates. We find that the trick to sample as many of them as possible is to have a wide range of the smaller appetizers rather than the classic starter cum main course - and while you are at it, do try some of the sake, some nicely flavoured and chilled such as the lychee sake. Staff is friendly and forthcoming and the overal ambiance and setting makes for a nice venue for a tasty, easy-to-digest lunch or dinner, which is probably why Kai seems to get a high - and well deserved - number of repeat clients.

i love the modern zen theme with the lamps, curtians, etc. and they thought of every detail such as chopstick holders that are just small rocks but it was so creative. the service was just superb. we used a voucher for a 4-course meal and they were still attentive even putting napkins on your lap. everything on the 4-course meal was good. my hubby especially loved the 6-hour braised angus short he kept raving about it. the last time he raved like that was when we ate steak at melo's. i liked the shabu-shabu salad, very tasty. try the wasabi oysters if you like oysters. it has a nice kick that goes well with the mayo. we will definitely go back and try the other dishes.

The Greenbelt shopping Centre in downtown Makati is a great place to escape the traffic of downtown Makati. The Kai restaurant is located on an internal courtyard, surrounded by trees, ponds and fountains. We tried the sashimi and sushi as well as some well prepared wagyu beef. Washed won with some japanese beer it was a pleasant and not too expensive meal
