We booked a room 15 days in advance online. When I clicked 14 day advance I got a rate of $57 and I was pleased. When we arrived at the hotel they charged us $99!!! The receptionist said that "best price available" was clicked and not "14 day". She saw that we booked 15 days ago and saw the price of $57 but since we didn't click 14 day price, she couldn’t give it to us. I asked her "well isn't "Best available rate" the "lowest price available"? She said we would have to speak to the manager in the morning.
We just drove 5 hours, it was late and we needed to rest.

The next morning the bill was over $100. The manager said that it was already charged to our credit card last night so she could not make any changes,

And get this... she said that "best available rate IS NOT the lowest price available"...WHAT???

I was going to give them 1 star, but doubled it because the lobby and room are clean and the continental breakfast is good. The room however is very small to American standards.

Room Tip: Rooms are small so go for a double or Jr. Suite

We stayed a couple of nights here. We retruned late to our rooms for our second night. The room had not been cleaned, no clean towells etc. The front counter was aplogetic and said the manager would call us later in the week.
I finally called the manager later in the week and was told that we had had a good rate and that was it. No idea of customer service. I'll never go back.

Driving from Ohio to Vermont we needed a place to break trip. My first impulse was to choose Syracuse because I had attended school there decades ago but after checking motel reviews the "Inn at the Finger Lakes" looked appealing. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Room was small but very clean and comfortable with all conveniences (good WiFi access, coffee maker, etc.) Continental breakfast and an early evening wine tasting (weekdays 5-7pm) were an added treat. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Be sure to consider a brief stop at lake Skeneatalus.

Central location, great room, pleasant staff and close to everything. It's a little tricky to get to with assorted one way streets. But parking a plenty, very comfortable and quiet rooms, a standard complimentary breakfast, a nice exercise room too! Of the three local properties, it is now my choice in lodging.

Room Tip: Get a parking lot rear room.. Never stayed on the other side, but there is a highway out there?

Location was nice was able to walk around Auburn with little problem. The room was really small was glad we didn't spend anymore time there. The Inn doesn't have any really good gathering areas. There is a park a couple of blocks around that we were able to use as a dining area. There are many restaurants in the are though.

Room Tip: Find another motel

The "Inn" is centrally located to most of Auburn. There are several great restaurants close
( within walking distance ). We have been coming for several years and are never disappointed.
We normally take a Junior Suite which is fairly large. We stay here when going to the races at Rolling Wheels or Oswego and shopping in the area.
The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The beds are also comfortable. The staff are always friendly and accommodating if an issue arises. The free breakfast is good and fresh.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back of the hotel are a little quieter.

My husband and I stayed there while in town to attend our nephew's wedding. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional!
The continental breakfast was good; standard items offered yet a bit of variety! They attentively checked to see what needed to be replaced and to keep the area clean.
Our hotel room was clean and comfortable. It was a standard size, but who spends lots of time in their hotel room while on vacation? They had a nice deck with umbrella covered tables where you could hang out.
My nephew had spent some time at Fort Drumm and many family members stayed here while visiting him. These are relatives who travel frequently yet they were comfortable suggesting that anyone coming to Auburn for the wedding, stay here as well! I would highly recommend this hotel and if I return to Auburn I will definately stay at this hotel!
