Wow, While I was checking in at the hotel this afternoon and watched a guest approach the front desk demanding that the desk refund their moneyad the bed was not to their liking. They were in the room for an hour!! I felt bad for this poor girl, I can't believe people.
I've stayed in many hotels where the bed was "to soft" or "to hard", I would never demand a refund after hanging out in the room for an hour!!!
Oh our stay was excellent!!!!!!

This is the second time that we have stayed in this inn. The first time was 7 years ago and they had just been sold and refurbished. This place used to be a Microtel. It is still very clean and well ran with very nice people, but it is not holding up well. Everything is tired and in need of a face lift. The linens are old and worn.
They are pet friendly and have a area behind that you can walk you pets. We were here during "high" season. Can't figure out for the life of me why they would a high season be in this sleepy small town. We paid a different price for each night that we were there. We were there for 4 nights and paid a different rate for each night. Monday being the least expensive, and Sat was way too expensive. Little pricey for the size of the tiny room. Not many choices in this area.

Didn't live up to our expectations for a weekend get-away. Although they were accommodating with our two little dogs, the Inn is a VERY basic hotel with few if any amenities. The rooms were OK, clean but nothing to write home about. If they are going to market pet-friendly, they should have somewhere to walk them, put out bags, etc. In a pretty run-down part of town.

Basic, clean hotel located off of the arterial in the city. It was as expected. Nothing fancy but clean and well managed. If you want something that is no frills and reliable then this will work for you. Pretty basic but good overall. Try to get a room that is not adjacent to the main road (Arterial). It will provide better sleeping conditions.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side away from the Arterial which is noisy.

This is our fourth year at this hotel but sadly, the worst. We drove four hours and arrived a few hours earlier than our 3:00 check in and simply asked if the room might be ready and was told quite rudely by the manager that check in is at 3:00 only. We understood. Then when a few of us used the washroom in the lobby, we were told by the manager that we were not to use it since we don't begin paying for our room until 3:00! In all our years of travelling, we have never heard of anything so ridiculous. During their happy hour, we were a large group who sat outside on the patio and when a few people brought the indoor chairs to the patio, the girl attending bar came after us and demanded we bring them inside where there were only two other couples sitting. She too was very rude and obviously disliked her job. Staff here is clearly unhappy and if a quiet cycling group from Canada who come back year after year annoys them, they should not be in this business. Thankfully, the rooms are very clean and spacious enough for two bikes and luggage. Good breakfast and good location of hotel near several restaurants and pubs.

When I had called to check on the reservation, the woman on the phone who I found out to be a manager, kept cutting me off as I was trying to speak and I ended up just hanging up and having to call back. When we walked in and everything is very dated as if nothing has been updated in at least ten years. We stayed here for a couple days for a wedding. Don't even bother trying to check-in even a minute before 3pm, because they will deny you help, tell you nothing can be done before that time, and in a very catty tone we were told "if you have an issue you can call my manager" and had a card shoved in our faces. Every receptionist was disrespectful and not willing to do much of anything besides hide in the small room behind the desk. There were bugs in the room when we had gotten there (a large slug and quite a few large ants) as well as an unpleasant odor on all of the linens. The tub was rusted and discolored. For what I paid for one night I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel for less money. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
