“Nice and clean rooms but unreliable staff and poor breakfast”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

The first issue this hotel has its location. The taxi drivers always have problem finding it, so always have the full address nearby and the names of the streets between which it is located.

The rooms are really nice and clean and are the best we have seen in the Philippines, we stayed there twice.

The major problem is the staff which is very nice but just does not understand what are the needs of their visitors and has issues understanding English. We had asked them to arrange a taxi for 13:30h at 10 in the morning, after assuring us several times that the cab will arrive we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes and almost missed our flight due to traffic.

The breakfast is below level one would expect when you see the rooms.

Room Tip: Several rooms have no windows, so you might want to make sure to get one if that is important to you...

The experience, overall, was good. it has a small restaurant/bar in the lobby which is adequate and the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. My Junior suite was very small and there was only a window looking into the hallway. The airport shuttle only runs until 4 pm. it was however available to drop us off at different locations during the day. The hotel is only a short cab ride from restaurants and shopping.
I was pleased with the experience and would stay there again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a good budget hotel.

My experience overall was very good. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and shopping, all within a 5 to 10 minute cab ride. There are some restaurants and a few ATMs within walking distance. The staff was friendly and polite. The rooms were smaller than the pictures lead you to believe but adequate and clean.

There are a few things that someone NEEDS to know when booking this hotel. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle for pickup and drop off. The shuttle hours are very limited and they do not run after 4pm. You get one key at check-in. If you want ane xtra key it cost an additional 200 pesos. You get 2 towels per double bed and 1 towel per single bed. Additional towels cost 100 pesos. Windows are limited and the view is not fantastic (but then you really shouldnt be staying in the Manila area for the view), but some rooms only have a window that looks into the hallway.

Overall my stay was pleasant and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.

Started my last trip at this hotel, and it was very comfortable for the price. The breakfast was alright, and about what I would expect from a regular breakfast buffet. The staff were very helpful, and we enjoyed our time here. The windows are small, as has been mentioned countless times, but that doesn't bother me, since I usually draw the curtains in a hotel, anyway. It is a little out of the way, but that also helps reduce the outside noise. I recommend it to anyone needing a basic place to stay.

Location:
From the airport, the hotel is really conveniently located, not far from
the Skyway toll-road; I think it took us 15 mins or so from terminal 3, but of course that depends on the traffic. It is reasonably close (but not walking
distance) to the Glorietta mall, and to Mall of Asia.
One drawback of the location is that public transport to the hotel is
not very available, and there are no MRT or LRT lines nearby. This is
relevant because at peak hours taxis can be very difficult to get. Even
from Glorietta getting taxis at peak hours entails queuing up at a taxi
rank for 20 odd minutes; for shopping we found it easier to go to Mall
of Asia only because taxis seemed to be plentiful there. From the hotel,
reception will organise for a taxi to be hailed, which is nice. So
generally not a problem but if you like to return to your hotel during
the day, you may be better off staying somewhere more centrally located.

Rooms:
I booked a Premier suite for a couple of nights, and while the suite is
not luxurious, it is super spacious. Yes, the windows are small, but in
my suite there were two windows on opposite sides of the bedroom and
sitting room, so plenty of light. One benefit of the small windows is
that the suite keeps cool even after a day out.
In the suite I stayed in, there were split type a/c units in each room,
which cooled the whole area well. The WiFi internet access was quick; in the suite I stayed in, the suite had its own access point in the main
bedroom.
Although there is a multipoint water heater below the bathroom sink, the
hot water only seems to be supplied to the shower.

Breakfast:
I found the breakfast ok, but nothing special. I found some of the
cooked foods overseasoned, but there is sufficient variety; and one can
also ask for simple things like eggs to be cooked.

Niggles:
The staff were friendly and attentive, but there is room for improvement
with some things. For example, in a suite which can fit up to three
people, it seems silly that one can only have one room keycard. I had
an issue with one of the a/c units, which could only cool in a
particular mode where one coudn’t control the fan speed (maximum) or
temperature. This issue was never resolved despite raising it twice; we
made do, but really the service in this instance wasn’t good enough.

If I wanted a hotel to stay prior to departing, I would certainly stay again

Stayed here a few nights last month. Good value for the area though not in central makati so places like greenbelt need a taxi ride. A few restaurants a couple of blocks away but not a lot to choose from. Most taxi drivers don't know the road so a map is advised. staff are very helpful and I would stay again.

When we first saw the hotel, we were take aback with where it is, the surrounding were in bad need of renovation, but once we were in the hotel, the staff and the place was pleasant to see.
Was happy with the room although the toilet should be a little bigger. The surprise was when we went for breakfast, we found couples, filipinas with caucasian men having breakfast and I have come to the conclusion that this hotel is a love nest for couples.

Dear Ms ElizabethVeronicaLim,

Thank you for your review. Because of your review, we have taken action immediately to clean the surrounding because of the nearby repairs. It is common to see couples in our hotels however in the weekend, most of the guests are families and group of friends.

I hope to welcome you back with our much improved surrounding and room quality.
