“In the Makati Shopping Precinct”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

This hotel was chosen by my wife for a shopping expedition prior to the flight back home to Australia. Close to Greenbelt and Landmark and we took a taxi to Greenhills Mall for PHP200.

Room was fitted with a kitchenette with some antiquated utensils, kettle etc but at least we were able to make coffee after buying the usual items from the 711 convenience store close by.

Our tariff did not include breakfast and for other meals we visited the food hall in Landmark basement where all the regular outlets are represented.

Asked room service for extra pillows and were told they would be available for an extra PHP55 payment.

There is obviously different standard levels of rooms in this hotel and I think the one we had was the lower standard. An upgrade was offerred for an extra PHP300 on checking in..... maybe if we stay there in the future.

Would not stay here if it was not for the shopping.

This is my second time staying at Prince Plaza 11 and there were some changes. First, breakfast is now at the penthouse rather than delivered before. Its quite sumptuous because of the different menus served. Just imagine, serving rice and viands, bread, fruits, coffee, juices and again it is a buffet. What more can you ask. Since I love the upper floors, my request was pretty satisfactory with a 160* view of Makati. It is breathtaking with views of helipads, the Shangrila and other unobstructed view of highrise buildings. The front desk was helpful and ready to give a hand to make your stay pleasurable. Excellent indeed.

Room Tip: Mine was on the 23rd floor, Room 2308.

The hotel is an old one but probably renovated to look modern. The good thing is that it has a stove, a ref, and a microwave oven, so people staying can opt to cook. Wifi is always down. The beds and bathroom are ok. Room size is adequate and there is a big LED tv. It is a short distance from the Greenbelt Mall, Landmark, and Glorietta.

I had stay in 4 different kinds of room during 8 nights stay since I kept extending my stay. Overall, this hotel is not bad but wifi is definitely something you can't count on at this hotel. Especially, if you are business traveler, i would not recommend. At very first night, I got a studio room which has not renovated. It is not remotely close to pictures seen on the web. It is very dated and WIFI didn't work at all. Next room was a renovated studio room which is fair. It is spacious enough for one person. Wifi works around entrance area. Air condition is quite noisy but I didn:t have any problem with sleeping. then next one was a studio with 2 single beds which is renovated. basically same as studio room with one queen size bed. Last 4 nights I got One bed room which is very spacious. Wifi works relatively well. I would recommend this room category. The best thing about this hotel is their location. Almost all taxi drivers know the hotel. It is next to Green Belt 5. It is very safe area..accessible to many restaurants, bars and shopping area. From airport, if it is not rush hour, it would take 20-30 min to the airport. The Fort would be 20 min. Breakfast...can't expect too much. For international traveler, you could find something to eat but not great. Basically, it is pretty much philippino style which is not bad...but for us, it is a bit too heavy i would say. I rather have toast, ham, egg, etc.... Hotel staff are generally friendly especially securities and house keeping. They always have nice smile on their face...greet you every time. Reception...they are efficient but i guess they are too busy. You have to pay refundable depo upon check in. Also, you ask them to store your luggage, they would charge which I was quite surprised. Overall, I am fine with this hotel as long as i get renovated room.

Room Tip: ask for renovated rooms...

I was staying there with family in one of the big two bedroom suites on the 21st floor. (7 pax)

The suite was awesome. Really nice renovated incl. kitchen with microwave and fridge, three flatscreen TV's and one of the two bathrooms even had a rain-shower. And they where perfectly clean. The 21st floor was also pretty nice - fast elevators.

Also the pool on the rooftop was quite ok, despite the fact, that everyone in the breakfast area can watch you swim and there was not much shadowed area. What I didn't like, was the shower/toilet area at the pool. Dirty and old.

One other big minus point was the breakfast. Staying with 7 pax we only got 4 tickets for the breakfast buffet, the rest of us (small kids!) where supposed to pay 8$!!! for the breakfast. That's just not acceptable. And the staff did not let us talk about this, they sticked to it.

The location is also quite ok, even if I did not like Greenbelt so much, but you can walk indoors to the other Malls.

All in all: I would stay there again, but would plan the breakfast at Jollibees.

Room Tip: Ask for renovated Rooms. (2101 was nice)

The best part of this place is LOCATION - next to the green belt mall and easy access to restaurants and bars.

the hotel is a condo and it's under renovation. Ask for the renovated room, otherwise you will end up in an outdated room with an old noisy air-con. It will not be that great value of money if you stay in an old room.

I got the old room at first and i couldnt sleep because of the noisy air-con, then i asked for a new room. The front desk was helpful. I finally got a renovated room with small kitchen, microwave and extra bed.

Note: Breakfast selection is limited.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated rooms. Corner rooms are larger than others.

We travelled to Makati toting our two children and two househelp. The three-bedroom suite was very spacious with very modern amenities --- LCD TV, split-type airconditioning, etc. The only downside to this trip was the waiting time during check-in. We arrived at 10:00am in Manila and left our luggage at the hotel concierge as we proceeded to Manila Ocean Park and Manila Zoo. We came back at 2:30pm in time for check-in but had to wait for about an hour as our room was not yet ready. The kids were getting restless and sleepy so I insisted we be given a temporary room for us to rest in. We were accomodated and given a wash-up room which were able to use for about 30 minutes since our room was ready by then. We booked for a 2-bedroom but was upgraded to a newly-renovated 3-bedroom suite -- maybe to make up for the inconvenience. The suite was beautiful, clean, modern and had very comfortable! It had a masters bedroom with ensuite toilet and bath. There were two smaller bedrooms -- one of which had an ensuite bathroom too. There was a common restroom by the kitchen too.

This condotel is very near Greenbelt and finding a restaurant/coffee shop is very easy. There is a convenience store at the side of the building so we just bought a big bottle of drinking water for our 2-day stay.

I appreciate the modernity of Makati and the clean streets. There are covered walkways connecting malls and you can easily stroll from Prince Plaza to the nearby malls without having to sweat under the direct heat of sun. We had breakfast at the nearby Starbucks and the kids loved watching the pond filled with well-fed koi. I've stayed in this condotel for more than 4 times already --- twice or thrice on business and twice with family. I will defiitely book at this hotel again!
