“Great - for what it is”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 December 2013

We flew in from El Nido for a single night before catching an early flight out of Terminal 1. The introduction wasn't great, their computer system went down which stopped all check-ins for over an hour - leaving dozens of people milling about. However, the staff was very friendly, which helps. The location is outstanding - and the free shuttle (different ones for different terminals) made the stay worthwhile all by itself. Having Resort World across the street makes for a nice walkable evening. The Christmas atmosphere made it fun, and there are plenty of nice places to eat. If you've been use to the Philippine bargains that you've found elsewhere - you won't find it there. Our room was small but clean. They had one of the most extensive TV channel selections that I've ever seen in a hotel. The all on - or all off nature of the air conditioning is goofy. I got two calls in the morning, one for waking me up - and the other to make sure I remembered by shuttle - which I liked. Having said all that, I would definitely stay here again for a single night stay-over for flight connections. There would be no reason otherwise, and that seems to be what they're designed for.

Room Tip: We had a room inside - which had no view, but was quiet.

This hotel has a nice facade and lobby and that's where it ends. The hotel is sub standard once you get into the room. For over $123 a night the shower and toilet are sub standard. Be prepared to be scalded every 15 seconds by the shower then alternately iced every 15 seconds. At first it seemed like a person in the neighboring room but this morning I realised it happened on a pulse. The hallways to the elevator are not air conditioned so be prepared to be uncomfortable while waiting for the elevator. The room keys fail so frequently it's not funny. I came back after their normal check out time (even though I was staying) to find my room key would not work the elevator. It took 10 mins for the counter staff to re-code my card. I went upstairs and within 10 minutes the card stopped working again. For the same price I could have stayed at the Sofitel which has luxury rooms and bathrooms.

We had a domestic flight to manila and then an international flight very early in the morning the following day so we basically had no choice but to stay here due to location.

As mentioned in earlier reviews, lobby and restaurants are nice but the room is very, very basic. By basic I mean:

1. No coffee or tea making facilities in room and if you request for one, they will promise to deliver it to your room but will not no matter how often you follow up on the request.

2. Rooms were built shabbily. You see cracks on tiles, gaps in furniture etc.

3. When other reviewers say rooms look like budget hotel rooms it may be because, floors are covered with cold tiles instead of carpet and sheets and pillows are made of thin and cheap cloth instead of luxurious beddings.

4. Room temp are unadjustable. There's a contraption for the airconditioning but adjusting it does nothing. It's freezing cold all the time so better come prepared with socks and sweaters :)

Yes, it is right across a mall but, when it's raining like it was when we were there, you cannot cross without getting wet bec the walkway is not covered.

So what are the good things about this hotel?

1. free transfers to and from the domestic airport and international airport
2. vendo machines on each floor for water, soda, juice, local chips and cookies for snacks especially if you find the restaurants at the mall overpriced.

would i stay here again? maybe, if i find myself needing a room to stay for an early international flight again.

Sorry I did not bother to take photos for this review, there's nothing worth taking photos of in this hotel

Room Tip: Expect a basic room to avoid from being disappointed. Accept that the P4,128 you are paying is for t...

Unexpected disappointed, actually I didn't expect much for this hotel but still disappointed.
Front desk staff are friendly but not all. Main lobby is impressive, but room look like budget hotel.
Hotel is near to casino & mall. Spend early movie at 930am to kill time as many shops not open yet.

First, let me try to say a few positive things about this hotel. Let's see. It's a newer structure, the staff is efficient and hospitable. The electricity stayed on. The cable TV has a lot of channels. That's about it.

Now for the rest of the story: ants crawling around the room, including on the beds. My room was on the top (10th) floor! The temperature of the air conditioner cannot be adjusted. Your options are 21C or off. There is a desk running along the window to place your laptop but no chair. (I asked for a chair and it was delivered). I asked to remove the second bed so I could work out of the room for a few days. That did not happen. Also, the internet speed is so poor that you will want to go to a restaurant in the Resorts World mall across the street to get on line.

The breakfast in the Hawker's restaurant (which we had to pay for, no voucher given with our rate) was one of the worst I've had anywhere in terms of taste. It had a decent selection but except for the fruit, it was indeed awful. The doors and walls are thin.

This is essentially a 2-star hotel except that it's physically corroding. But give it time. There are mystery water puddles in the floor of the bathroom. The shower tap quickly alternated between scalding and frozen.

The only rationale for this hotel I can fathom is for the gamblers who intend to spend all their time in the casino across the street and just needs a reasonably cheap bed onto which to pass out for a few hours.

Room Tip: Checks for crawling critters in your room before accepting it.

I definitely liked this place for the price. It was clean and nice and cool bar. Bathroom could have been bigger and more of a separation of the shower and bathroom. Water generally stayed in the shower but easily goes everywhere. Liked the free airport transport back and forth and close to the airport. A great McDonalds and convenient store rite next door. Great value price combination. Would defiantly stay here again and recommend to a friend.

Hotel check in staff are always in doubt, always need to personally go to check in counter if their keys are not working, if you request something its already a big deal with them, check in staff not friendly and supervisors training might not be enough for customer service. Its just ok even if their floors in the room gets wet when u lower aircon, shower space is small.etc..for me this can be tolerated if you are treated nicely by the staff but a poor hotel and a poor service really sucks.
