Prior to my departure from the US to Manila, I researched places to eat in Manila and I tried The Singing Cooks and Waiters Restaurant in Manila. I went with a party of about 8 Filipino friends, and we had a great time. The Cooks and Waiters were both funny and good singers. I loved it. They have large variety of Philippine dishes to choose from, but I think I enjoyed the music more than the food which was selected by my Filipino friends -- which they really liked -- but was a bit too ethnic for my American taste buds. There were tables fill with Japanese visitors, another with Korea visitors, and tables with mixed Americans and Filipinos. I had a lot of fun and would definitely go back on my next trip to Manila. I highly recommend that you give the Singing Cooks and Waiters Restaurant a try.

What a spot! Chef Ben and his crew entertained with show tunes and popular music. They encouraged "group" participation, when we danced and did the Macharana with them. A delightful time!
Our lunch of seafood pansit and rice was fabulous and then Chef Ben brought us some vegetables to try that were equally magnificent. We were there for lunch. It wasn't crowded. Perfect for interaction with the staff. Give this place a try. You will be entertained and your palette will be satisfied.

My local friend recommended this wonderful reaturant for our lunch.

The staff and waiters were very helpful and friendly.

One of them actually sang a Chinese song knowing that there were Chinese guests in the house.

Tip:
They sing in periodic intervals. Have a nice slow meal and you will not be disappointed.

The place is where your cooks and waiters sing and dance for you. Performances range from pop songs to Filipino cultural songs and dances. It is an experience but if you want a quiet dinner by yourselves, then they have a place for that as well. They specialize in beef (baka) marrow (bulalo) and chicken (manok); hence, the name. Even without the show, the experience is still worth the trip. We like their varied bulalo soups and their tortang talong (eggplant omelet with ground pork). Try it!
