Remember when they said if you want make anything taste better, just add butter? That couldn't be more true as proven whoever started made the sisig in Aysee. Whoever thought that you could combine butter and a mix of the sizzling parts of a pig's head and liver and make it into one of the most tasty and sought after dishes in Pasig City (or might I say, in the entire Metro Manila)? The cooks are able to to this with masterful ease that it brings out the goodness in sisig. This dish is meant to be an afterthought in drinking sessions, something salty to counteract the taste of any alcohol but in this resto, it's the main attraction. The butter enhances the flavor of the sisig unlike any other sisig I have tried, it's an amazing feat that you need to try it to believe it. And now that it is butter-infused, it becomes a "classy" (haha) dish instead of one you'll find in side-street drinking sessions.
Another appealing factor: you have classy meal in an unpretentious location. It's located near the Ortigas CBD. It's an unassuming little place with 2 floors that a first timer would think twice before entering. Ask any Pasig local where to get the best sisig and without batting an eyelid they'll tell you it's Aysee and they speak of it with some sort of holy reverence. It would be blasphemous to tell them otherwise. It has a cafeteria/"inuman" vibe to it where rich and poor, sane or insane people dine side by side in the name of sisig.
Tip: Bring your rubber shoes with you. You might want to jog a few miles at the Philsports Complex right beside it after you've downed 3 dishes of sisig and several buckets of beer.
