how i wish i can give them higher rating, but certain issues i noticed before are still present up to now.

the last time we got 2 deluxe/studio rooms. this time, they gave me 1 studio and the 1 bedroom suite upgrade, saying the studio category was fully booked. initially, front desk made me sign a voucher of 1,000 pesos per night for the room upgrade. having checked in at 11pm, i was not in the mood the question. i did question it from club astoria customer service thus the upgrade became complimentary. the lobby is still cramped, with seats for maybe 6 people only. check in and check out tends to be slow because astoria has sooo many extra steps than in other hotels and resorts and service apartments i've tried.

elevators are very fast, i've tried resorts like movenpick with similar number of floors but whose elevatorsmoves like a turtle compared to astoria's. corridors are tiled, thus noise emanates into the bedroom. the walls in the room seems to conduct noise, the noise from next door and the room above we could hear! whats up with these neighbors who seem to keep on moving their furnitures back and forth??

the 1 bedroom suite is spacious, aircons for all rooms are fantastic. the bathrooms are small, dated as someone else mentioned, with the warm colored lights adding to make it look much more dated. bathtub floor drains are still slow, and the soap they provide does not lather well. the econo control was about to pop out of the socket. it will eventually pop out and is a short circuit danger. i reported it on the 1st day stay and by my 4th day, it still was not fixed.

internet is spotty, and good for 1 user per room. the same with parking, 1 slot per room. breakfast was value for money with club astoria's buy 1 take 1, but airconditiong is not good. the gym has complete facilities but cramped. i estimate max of 5-6 users, beyond that is tight. there are two pools, watch out for the kids who love to jump into the pool. i used the gym, and looked out to the pool area in between workout sets.

i still like the 1 bedroom suite. spacious and complete kitchen. kitchen has a door to minimize cooking smell from entering the living/dining room area. the exhaust vent above the oven is very noisy and needs maintenance though. the tv in the master bedroom is too small and deserves to be changed bigger. tv prices nowadays have dropped for astoria to think of upgrading the bedroom's tv size. beds, pillows are comfortable and gives a good night's sleep.

Stayed here in May this year so decided to come back.

Check in

Got here early again like around 9am. They didn't have any rooms and official check in time was like 2pm so we had to kill some time. I was so tired from the 20hr flight but we still managed to walk around a bit and eat some breakfast. At the point where I was almost prepared to hit another hotel, around 11am they had the room available for us. We checked in early and they didn't charge us for it either.

Room
Love the condo feel, full kitchen, living room, bed room and a bath and shower.
Beds large and comfy, I always have a good sleep here.

Breakfast
Food downstairs is really good, at night time they have live singers. Really nice spot.

Check out
it was pretty quick, like 10 mins tops. Got my 3k deposit back and we were off to the airport to hit boracay.

Overall, I'll prob be back. I like the location and the condo feel.

Staying in 1 bedroom suite RCI points I love the view from my room , RCI check in is different from regular guest I guess customer service lounge has free snacks and drinks
Room itself is nice and decent size bathroom is functional but dated there are some tiny black ants crawling on the floor I guess they're harmless wifi is unreliable its a hit or miss and wifi access is limited only to one device other you have to pay

Being members of Club Astoria, we are priviledged to have 2 nights stay yearly at any astoria hotel. We always book a 1 or 2 bedroom suite in Astoria for private family get togethers and mini celebration.

Astoria has always been very accommodating and good to us in so many ways. Their rooms are so spacious and super clean. The couch and beds are so so comfortable. Having a nice kitchen complete with all kitchen appliances is so convenient for our family. The pool is great which the kids absolutely love. They even provide cots for babies for free. They also have a complimentary shuttle bus to SM Megamall which i one of the biggest malls in the philippines.

All in all I can say that we really do consider Astoria as our 2nd home away from home...

We have our 3rd aniversary. The shuttle service to the malls is great. The kitchen is great we enjoy eating popcorn using the microwave. The swimming pool is not that big. I hope we can have 2 bedroom instead of extra bed and couch.

We stayed here as we were members of RCI.

- The location is great because you are not far from Greenbelt shopping

- The suites were very nice, modern and clean.

- The rooms are only serviced every two days, however you can ask the staff to attend every day if you wish.

- the only thing I will complain about is the price of the laundry service. THE MOST EXPENSIVE I have ever experienced in any hotel. 4 bags of washing cost us approx $200. I nearly had a heart attack when I received the bill at check-out. There is no reason why their washing service is this expensive.

- I also was charged for a missing bath mat which did not exist. But rather than dispute it and waste more time, I paid it.

- The restaurant has great food!

We just completed a 12-night stay at the Astoria Plaza in one of their spacious 2 bedroom suites. Each bedroom was well appointed with its own tv and desk, and each had its own bathroom. There was a very nice common area with a larger tv, and a functional kitchen (which we didn't actually use much). The rooms were immaculate and cleaned thoroughly every day. The staff at the hotel was very capable and exceptionally gracious. A highlight of the stay was the complementary breakfast buffet. Every morning saw a wide range of meats, fruits, and delicious fresh baked goods. There was an omelette bar, fresh juice and cereal. The food was scrumptious.

We had some difficulties with the amateur and inept booking agency the hotel uses (directwithhotels.com), but once we enlisted the help of the hotel management, we were able to resolve the issues, and the hotel went out of its way to make up for the rough start.

I was very pleased with our stay, and would highly recommend this place. The value to price ratio is excellent, and when coupled with the comfortable accommodations and excellent service, made this an outstanding base for our visit to Manilla.
