Delicious Filipino dishes at their Sunday lunch buffet is a must try. Perfect for balikbayans and foreigners who want a taste of true Filipino cuisine. Around P500 per person but very much worth it.

First time to visit to celebrate a friend's birthday. Eclectic decor which wouldn't give a Filipino vibe--maybe more Central Asia--but apparently its all available for sale so it was interesting to look at the set-up. It's a split level restaurant over 3 floors with the buffet at the lowest floor and the dining to one side and above. It's a little cramped but there's an appeal to restaurants arranged that way. The Sunday buffet offered quite a number of dishes. It was not overwhelming like other buffets but this one had some 20 dishes, all Filipino that was being constantly replenished. The taste was really good and doesn't feel like restaurant food, more like something your grandmother would cook as her specialty. It was really comfort food and getting to dine with friends just added to the overall ambiance. They also had a good selection of Filipino desserts. It also seemed pretty busy as there were 2 lunch skeds [I guess for reservations] from what I heard, an 11-1pm and 1pm-3pm. That should work out fine though unless the talking really lasts. All in all, a throughly enjoyable experience

First of all, the entire dining area of cafe juanita is so colorful and have lots of decorations. It has a Asian, Thai feeling inside which is instagramable. So my first impression from this place is elegant and I can't wait for their food to be serve. I wasn't able to take all of the pics of the food we ate because we're just so excited to eat and we're hungry.

We ordered the following:

Kare Kare : The meat is very tender, it's like pulled already so it's easy to eat. The sauce flavor is very rich and thick.

Viestnamese Fresh Lumpia -Taste really fresh and the sauce is so tasty.

Catfish Mango Salad - It was serve so crispy. The presentation is presentabel and looks enticing. It taste really good and not fishy.

Beef Caldereta - The meat is so tender and the sauce compliments with the sauce . Not salty.

I wasn't able to get the name of the other dish, It's like Laing with crab aligue sauce. I'm not a fan f it but it taste okay but not bad.

This is a must visit restaurant and a perfect place to have family or friends reunion. The ambiance is so relaxing. Make sure to take photo of it because the place looks good at the background. Very Festive !!! By the way, this is my 3rd visit in Cafe Juanita.

Visited Cafe Juanita for lunch with family.
Pagdating namin sa place, super puno ung parking space, and even ung 1st lane ng street is occupied na rin. Sinabihan namin si kuya guard1 na meron kami kasama na may wheelchair, so nag ask kami kung meron access... meron naman daw. then we've been told i manage nila ung flow ng traffic habang ibaba ung kasama namin na naka wheelchair. then, few seconds after, si guard2, sinabi na i move ung van at nag cause daw kami ng traffic... so our driver moved the van. around 15-20 mtrs away sa cafe. then we asked the guards kung hindi ba pede na paalis for the meantime ung isang car na naka double parking na sa cafe juanita para lang maibaba namin ung naka wheelchair. and this kuya guard2 said, "HINDI, kasi nakareserve ung customer sa loob, gusto nyo po, mag counterflow na lang po ung naka wheelchair sa may gilid ng kalsada". so technically, hindi priority sa kanila ang pwd... nakakalungkot lang.
So wala kami nagawa and nag counterflow ang wheelchair since preferred talaga namin ung cafe for our family lunch. Then, habang papasok na sa place, it took us around 3-5 mins bago nakapasok since their entrance is too small and the wheelchair wont fit in.
Then, we placed our orders. Si Ate Server doesnt know the difference of a mango shake to a dalandan shake. hay... been served with wrong juice... :-( Anyways, regarding naman sa food, their food is really good. their kare kare, shrimp cake are one of my favorite from their menu.
nabawi sa food ung nangyari samin while getting in their place... overall, still not so satisfied customer. not so good experience. hope they can work their service out

Kare kare was super yummy! it tasted like how my grandma cooks karekare the hard way (grinding rice grains, peanuts) It tasted like it was made from scratch or is it? hehe.
However, the Laing (another favorite) was not too tasty. Price of food is reasonable and place has a nice ambiance. Parking is risky.
