Outstanding value. You can't do any better on price in Clark proper. If you wanna pay less then stay in Angles City. This place is centrally located in, "Downtown Clark."

The air-con was loud enough to drown out any road noise. The hot water was working in the shower one day, then not the next. The staff was very nice and friendly. The Wi-Fi router was just outside my room, so I had a good signal. The bedside lamp was held together with scotch tape. They store the janitor's bucket and mop out in the hallway and it smelled like vomit. The maid staff apparently does not service the room, so you may need to make your own bed and clean up your own mess.

Notice that the older reviews say that there is no place to eat nearby, well that has changed. I ate all of my meals at the Rendezvous, which is virtually next door, and I didn't even get sick, which is the first time that has ever happened on a trip to the Philippines because food preparation and storage is not done according to western standards in most establishments. When I find a place that does not make me sick, I keep going back. I must have eaten at the Rendezvous 5 times.

All in all, it's the price and the location that will bring me back to this hotel. The negatives did not really bother me at all.

travelled alone for business and was not happy for the room itself, water is rusty smell, room smells terrible, oldy like feeling & the faucets are broken...staff or maybe ojts are all watching tv in the lobby creating a lazy crowded cheap receiving area....

Homey feel with a 7-11 convenience store next door. Jeepney to Mabalacat gate just behind the hostel. From SM, there's also a jeepney to the hostel (PhP14.50) (I eat dinner in SM since there are no accessible decent meals around the area).

Room is tidy but the white bed sheets have stains. Bathroom is also clean with shampoo and soap. No complimentary water. Weak wi-fi (no signal in my room).

Service personnel are very helpful and friendly.

The hostel is not truly a "hostel" in the Western sense of the word. Motel is more accurate, though motel has a negative connotation in the Philippines. The rooms are small and clean and reasonably priced. There is a decent restaurant on-site.

Clark Hostel is a decent place to stay in at Clark. The room was clean and still pretty new. The rates were quite reasonable as well. These are the good points on Clark Hostel. On the down side, there were quite a few. I was hoping that the service would be a little friendlier and more personalized since it was a smaller hotel compared to the others. I guess I was looking for the care of a B&B. I was also very turned off that the front desk charged me an additional 5% for using my credit card. This wasn't told to me when I inquired at first. Regarding the room, it would also have been good if they provided a decent blanket. I got cold so I turned off the air conditioner. The problem with this is that all the noise from the cars, cleaning personnel, and activities from the other rooms were all heard since the rooms are very near to each other. Clark Hostel was a pretty okay stay.
