If you need to unwind and forget the city life, this is the place to go. Relaxing is the perfect word to describe this place. If i come back ti daao, i would only be staying in this place. Too bad, we didnt get to go around the place. Next time.

We stayed for 2 nights, it appears that services has somewhat deteriorated. Let us start with the camella cottages, this is a good option for families with several kids, room is right next to the gazebo grounds and very near the restaurant. For the positive, the room is newly renovated, seems cleaner, but the screen on the windows were not sliding properly, a glass pane was loose on one window -- a hazard for kids! There is still a ref and coffee making facilities -- bad thing is that the kettle for heating water was not clean when we arrived, it smelled rotten and when I opened it, thee were noodles left by the previous occupants, this should have been checked before new guests were taken in. There is TV in the room, but you need to ask for the remote to be brought to your room. Cleanliness was a big disappointment this time, garbage cans were turned over and cats and peacocks were rummaging and spreading the garbage around. One of this was right at the entrance of the restaurant, what an appetizing site before breakfast! Now to the meal, a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! I used to love the healthy spread Eden provides for their meals, this time, we had SPAM for breakfast, on both the first and second morning we were there! The choice of food was also disappointing. Now, remember, if you eat in the restaurant, keep a safe distance away from the entry way to the kitchen, unless you want to have a meal with sounds of not only dishes being washed but employees loudly arguing, I also find it unappetizing to eat with the sound of someone sweeping the floor of the area where they clean dishes, this area has no door nod can be seen from the eating area!

Room Tip: The camella cottages are great for big families, for couples, the vista cottage would be a good choi...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a night. We rented one of their suites, off the main road and a beautiful view from our balcony, it was like being in the middle of the rain forest from our balcony view. Very peaceful and quiet, just the sounds of the insects chirping and the stream below our cabin. U can request shuttle pickup from the cabin to go to the restuarant which is about a 10-15 minute walk on dirt road. Enjoyed our stay there very much, includes dinner, get to choose from a couple of preset dinner meals, pretty good. There is no wifi in these suites, since they are off the main road and away from the main building, but can use your 3g signal from your service provider. Would stay again, very relaxing!

I am not going to be stingy on my rating as this place deserve a 5 star even if we did not stay in their lodges. We just came for a day visit and it was the most fun activity we had visiting Davao City. The place is really EDEN as in paradise on top of the mountain fresh air and lots of trees. First, we paid the 200 pesos for the tour which included a free snack of spaghetti and a drink. We went to their aviary while waiting for our tour sked, which had some gorgeous colorful birds. Next stop was the butterfly garden. The caretaker there was a young funny guy who entertained us while telling stories about the different varieties of butterflies and their uses. He put some butterflies on our eyeglasses, heads, shoulders and we had a bawl laughing at our natural pretty accessories. Then, the fun part continued with the tour. The place is huge and the tour mini buses took us to their vegetable garden, flower garden, different lodges, nooks and crannies in the park. Our tour guide, Pritz, was awesome and became our part time camera wo/man. It was so worth the money and time. This place should be #1 priority to visit when in Davao City.

Room Tip: we did not sleep but i could not take out anymore rating sorry! :-(

We booked at Eden Nature Park & Resort for three nights because my niece was getting married there and we wanted to do some birdwatching on the side. The resort is set high amid a very green forest and is recommended for those who want some peace and quiet and an escape from the lowland's hot weather. We reserved a room at the Holiday Lodge which was P3,200 for week days and P3,500 per night on weekends. The price came with breakfast and dinner buffet plus a fishing voucher and use of the swimming pool, so if you included the cost of the breakfast and dinner, this was really good value. The resort also provided shuttles which would drive you from your room to the restaurant, or in our case to the wedding chapel. The rest room close to the restaurant was clean and always had an attendant close by.The room was spacious and clean, had hot/cold water, shampoo, soap and two towels. The television was old and there was no cable service. There is also no WIFI in the rooms and the password they gave at the restaurant did not work. Service though, was excellent...the shuttle drivers came only after 5 minutes of your request and the housekeepers also came quickly if you requested for a hairdryer or insecticide. The breakfasts and dinners were nothing exceptional but again food servers were courteous and helpful. Because we would have a free dinner during the wedding reception, the front desk was willing to swap our dinner vouchers for lunch vouchers on that day. The lunch buffet was very good, especially their desserts. Except for the noise coming from the motorcycles, the place was peaceful. Birding as especially good because we found some birds at the Mountain trail like the Cryptic flycatcher, Philippine trogon, Ruddy Kingfisher and Black Naped Monarch. If one did not want to stay overnight but just wanted to do some birding, they could pay P200 for a day tour, go bird and even get a free snack bag!

Been goin to Eden for day tours but this time we book on a friday for an overnight stay. its the first time for my partner to be in Eden as a gift for her birthday and the feelin bein a tour guide for my Love One is just simply amazin! We arrive lunchtime to feast their lunch buffet and the salad bar is just superb! Freshly green veggies from their very own vegetable garden serve with dressings of your choice. (I tell you like my partner, you will keep comin back for more!) 3 bowls wasn't enough for me but i have to taste other house specialties. After a nice feast at vista restaurant, we check in straight in our room at Vista cottage. (Vista 8 is really strategic and romantic I bet!) After resting for a while, my partner and I race for endurance trailing their 4 km mountain trail. (first timers must think twice hehe.. unless your into trekking or fun runs then proceed and enjoy) We had the mountain trail for about an hour and a half before reachin Lola's Garden. (highest peak I guess?) the view was spectacular overlookin Davao City. The next day, a brief walk at 5am gaspin that fresh mountain breeze cleanses my breathin. After breakfast, we take a dip at their pool also has that imposing view of Davao. after checking out, we do sky cycle at eden fields. well, nice experience but am expecting more extreme that's why? After we go fishing at the fishing village and gladly we catch 4 medium size tilapia. At our set of choice for lunch, we divide it into 2, deep fry and their own pinaputok (wrap in banana leaf as in masarap!) To sum up, our Eden Experience was one intense yet romantic sensation just lovin that feelin over and over again... =)

Stayed here last weekend and it was truly an eden on earth. It is about an hour and 15 minutes from the city, up in the mountain, in Eden, Toril, Davao. We went there by cab, meter showed Php432 fare, but we gave the driver some extra as he's unlikely to pick up passengers on his way back to the city. Tall trees and lots of natural beauty around you, your only companion in this nature trip is the noise coming from the birds and other fun-loving forest creatures (but no worries, we didn't see any creepy and slimy ones). We stayed in Holiday Lodge and it was fine. Room amenities include two single beds, a cable TV, ceiling fan and an spacious bathroom with a small net-ceilinged garden. It is about 200 meters from the front office, but quite far from the swimming pool. We didn't go swimming, so it really didn't matter much. We filled our days exploring the resort, walking from gardens to groves, and hanging bridge. We had fun fishing tilapia too! We caught 3 big ones and had them grilled, they were so fresh and yummy! For more adventurous people, the park also offers skycycle and horseback-riding. The meals at their restaurant were ok, buffet style. I just wish they serve brewed coffee, and some fresh milk. Temp is quite cold in the mountains so hot, freshly brewed coffee would have been perfect. Breakfast is from 630am to 830am, dinner from 6-8pm. The staff were friendly, especially those in the front office. Upon check out, they will assist you in getting a cab. Ok, so here's the deal, to really really appreciate the place, you should love walking (but shuttle service is also available on call). I enjoyed Eden so much because I love to walk in the woods and smell the flowers and listen to forest noise and await that picturesque moment when the sunlight is passing between the trees....can you imagine paradise?

Room Tip: Holiday Lodge is ok, but I would love to try the Vista Cottage next time. For a large group, the Mo...
