What a fantastic place!
It is a trip to the core of the Philippines culture and is beautifully preserved.
It is a MUST if you come visit Cebu.
They have a very friendly staff in situ and there is a small fee to access.
Do not miss...! it is very interesting from the architecture point of view also.

My teenage daughter and I went around this very well preserved old home which has been owned by a Chinese family and passed down through the generations. The staff make it really interesting and explain the history behind many of the old pieces of furniture - I was fascinated with the birthing chair! Lots of interesting old items like the wooden sink and the original boat used by the family. This isn't a museum, it's a family home which is still lived in by the family on weekends.

Situated right nearby the 1730 Jesuit House and just down the road from the Santa Niño Basilica another unique piece of Cebuano history. All part of a walking tour of the main places to see in Cebu that will take no more than 3 hours on entirety.

as we walk along the busy street of Cebu City we came across this ancestral house before reaching the Basilica and the Magellan's cross. Bizarre in its architecture as it was preserve more than a hundred years old. Things inside it are fragile but a mark and a fact that Sugbuano are very distinct as well when it comes to culture and traditions ^_^

Definitely worth a visit, you even get an insight into how women used to give birth! Some great photo opportunities that a helpful tour guide will assist with. The family still stay at the house at weekends.
