“Great historical landmark”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

Great example of a house carried down through generations with various cultural influences. I particularly admired the way the family had opened it up to the public without cost and the guides were only to happy to volunteer to take photos as well as ones utilizing clever optical illusions. Well worth seeing.

“Check it out”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Luckily this place has been preserved and withstood typhoons, earthquakes and progress for hundreds of years! Well located near other historic venues, and still in part time use, it's definitely worth a look-see and to hear the history.

“A jewel...!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

What a fantastic place!
It is a trip to the core of the Philippines culture and is beautifully preserved.
It is a MUST if you come visit Cebu.
They have a very friendly staff in situ and there is a small fee to access.
Do not miss...! it is very interesting from the architecture point of view also.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

My teenage daughter and I went around this very well preserved old home which has been owned by a Chinese family and passed down through the generations. The staff make it really interesting and explain the history behind many of the old pieces of furniture - I was fascinated with the birthing chair! Lots of interesting old items like the wooden sink and the original boat used by the family. This isn't a museum, it's a family home which is still lived in by the family on weekends.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Situated right nearby the 1730 Jesuit House and just down the road from the Santa Niño Basilica another unique piece of Cebuano history. All part of a walking tour of the main places to see in Cebu that will take no more than 3 hours on entirety.
