Simple local dishes, nostalgic taste, I should say. I'm tired of commercial food in the malls! Great value-for-money.

The ambiance in the place is really great. If you want to spend it with someone close to you or your friends and family for a talk or a chat, this place is a good place to go.

It's got good home cooked Filipino food that you would like to eat and enjoy. The drinks that you drink are really refreshing too. The service is also great.

Was taken there for dinner by a friend and had a lovely meal in a homely atmosphere. Not sure exactly what we had but the fish was delicious. Must try the sticky rice dessert with coconut sauce.

There's a whole lot to like about Abaseria, starting with the charming and intrusive but attentive service. The restaurant-cum-shop is a nice setting and you can get up any time to browse the various (expensive!) offerings. They might be a little touristy but it makes for a more interesting meal environment at least!

The food was a pleasant surprise; tasty and well cooked, e.g. steamed veggies that weren't drowned to the point of mush. The shrimp in coconut milk was delicious and plentiful.

The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the scurrying around of a rather large cockroach. I assume it was just one, but it must have been damned fast... That said, the place is otherwise very clean indeed and we all know that these little b*st*rds get everywhere. I say, don't judge based on one bug sighting - you'll miss out.

Please note - if you're not familiar with the area (in fact, even if you are) it's not easy to find and doesn't jump out at you from the street. It looks more like a home or possibly a regular shop. Also, many taxi drivers won't know it by name.

this small restaurant serves very good filipino food. i found the laing (yam leaves in coconut milk) outstanding, as well as their adobo. they also have a gift shop where you can find interesting stuff like civet coffee. this is a gem of a place worthy of a visit!
