“Best Value Yakiniku”
Reviewed 17 August 2013 via mobile

My family always wants to eat Japanese and this is one place you can enjoy the charcoal-grilled Yakiniku at a very reasonable price. Their buffet is a welcome-treat to my boys who can finish up 6-7 serving plates of their varied meat selections. For best buffet value, we usually have triple servings of their beef, pork and sausage, and occasionally request for chicken or fish for variety. Although service is fast, sometimes midway through cooking, you'd request for change in charcoal because ember is not as hot to cook your meat. Also since there is only one charcoal grill per table, the longer cooking time is a let down for the heavy-eaters. After the buffet, you are served with free vanilla ice cream which is appreciated by my meat-loving boys to cool down their mouth and to neutralize their palate from the very savory meal. Recommend to get reservation in advance as the place is always full especially on a weekend.

“Delicious food with a 10% service charge”
Reviewed 11 May 2013

Me and my friends decided to try this place for our monthly food trip.

Their pork and beef are fresh and delicious. They're serving the belly part (yummy!) and we even tried their squid (delicious too). Since this is an eat all you can (399 per head) so we just ordered one rice for each one of us (rice is at 60php but a quality rice).

At first, their servings for the pork and beef are sliced thinly and with small servings. On the 4th batch, the thickness tripled compared to the first batch and such a big servings. Although we didn't complain much since it's an eat all you can.

Afterwards, we decided to, maybe, try this place again since the service is really, really good, since our orders will arrive in just a few seconds. When we asked for our bill, we were expecting to pay atleast 2.7k. Upon receiving the bill, we were surprised to see a 10% service charge (270 php) included in our receipt. So we decided not to leave any tip since there's already a big 10% service tip included.

Overall, leaving aside the service tip, the food is great, with its good service.

“cebu sumibi yakiniku tajimaya”
Reviewed 6 May 2013

This is the whole name of the restaurant, not just yakiniku as originally declared here at TA. They have a lot of choices, moreso with different kinds of wagyu dishes. This review is for their eat all you can @399. Choices are cuttlefish, chicken, pork, beef, and sausage. The sausages tasted like either the longganiza hamonado or smoked cocktail sausages that can be purchased in the supermarket. Beef are thin slices that looked like from the belly portion, the same with the pork. Chicken are small cutlet portions. Rice, drinks are all extra. Complimentary dessert is a scoop of ice cream.

The meats are cooked over charcoal, which is the better way to grill your food. (The other way is over an electric or butane gas powered stove the way all koreans and some other japanese restos). Because we were 5 in the group, its hard to catch up with the appetite of 5 people with one round charcoal grill. Midway into the grilling, we requested to have the charcoal replaced as the embers were not as hot anymore. Service is fast. Every new order of meat, the replacement of charcoal, all were quick, served in 2 minutes or so.

Meat lovers will find the price good value. But if you prefer more choices, a better choice(albeit a higher buffet price) is wakamatsu. If i wanted rice, veggies, and shrimp, it may add up. However, i just wanted meat for this occasion, and this resto's buffet offer is great for this preference.
