It was a pleasant little hotel with a pool adjoining the low-rise building about 100 meters from the busy road. The lobby is however very chaotic because the hotel is also the entrance to a busy gym with locals going in and out through the hotel lobby. It is like a busy airport check-in counter. At that time there were many staff members behind the counter, many of them do not know what to do. It was discomforting on my part carrying my heavy bags and talking with counter staff who remained seated in their comfortable chairs looking up at their customers instead of eye-level. Rooms were nice and comfortable although the sound proofing is not too good; we heard our partying next door neighbor one night, and we hear shouts of kids and adults using the pool. What was the final straw was during checkout when we were told they upgraded our room because our reserved room (lower category) was no longer available, AND they also upgraded our room charge. We asked to speak to the manager and she was said to be always out of the hotel, so for a price difference of 200 pesos per night, we thought it was not worth arguing and ruining our vacation.
