“late dining with band music in Ayala Center”
Reviewed 14 May 2012

One can easily get a table to dine in at Bistro Ecila as the crowds come in usually when the band plays at 8:30-9pm. We enjoyed very much the delicious healthy appetizer- Spinach Dip with Melba Toast- of which we made several repeat orders! We also enjoyed Ecila's House Salad! The sizzling Beef Tips was a disappointment as the beef was not tender and it didn't come sizzling! I wouldn't also recommend the black Angus Steak as again, it wasn't tender. What was good was the chicken cordon blue and ginger honey Lemon Dory Fillet that came with pasta. Expect a very limited choice of dessert. Coffee and wine can wind up the night while listening to the band. Ambience is nice but aircon can not cool enough because the glass dividing doors are opened to accommodate the band's listening crowd at their outside annex.

“Nice Quite Place to have a decent meal!”
Reviewed 3 October 2011

I chance upon this bistro when it was featured in groupons. So I bought some vouchers to try their dishes. The ambiance was very relaxing. it's noise-free and you have the place to your own. It's great when you want to avoid the crowded Casa Verde anyway their food tastes the same. They have wide selections on their menus and they have happy hours too. Must try is their ribs and chorizo pasta. Best time to go their is during brunch.
