This is one of the two bridges that connects mainland Cebu to Mactan Island. The bridge was under renovation when we passed by last June.

Underneath this bridge in Lapu-lapu is a park where a lot of people jog/walk, even some locals take a swim on the sea and some simply people- watching in the side. From there you can walk up and reach this bridge. Nothing really much to do here except if you want to run from one side to another like i did. Not worth seeing , really.

This bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that connects Mactaan island to Cebu Island.

Yes I agree that it is only a bridge but it looks that much more special at sunset.

We cruised up the river with Island Bancas Cruises and was able to view this massive structure from below and at a distance. If you visit Cebu you probably wont be able to avoid this structure.

The Marcelo Fernan Bridge is the second bridge that connects Mactan Island and mainland Cebu. It not only provides additional easy access to both islands, it also gives a great view of the bustling Mactan Channel.
